Is there any way to continuously record on drive recorder?

Is there any way to continuously record the exterior cameras like Tesla does?

It does, but it only saves up to 20 secs before and after an activation (pressing and holding the button or an accident).

It’s a huge missed opportunity, all they’d need to do is add more storage. A 1T flash drive is cheap. They could make it a $500 option to store more, I bet many would buy it. Almost 100% margin.

You don't need to even add onboard storage, just allow it to write to an external device plugged into one of the USB ports. That's what Tesla does for their security cameras. Won't work at all until you plug in flash drive / SSD.

Cameras are already there, it's just software. One of the many things I loved about Tesla...they added this feature as an OTA Update! Brilliant.

(They have many, many shortcomings too).

Exactly, it’s all pretty much there just need the allowances. Was hoping someone found a way.
