XForce Varex Exhaust for G80
Does anyone have this installed? Do you like it? For those looking for an exhaust, what are your thoughts on it from the links/video below?
https://xforceusa.com/products/make/...ion-11-2020-on I'm kinda liking the open valve sound at the 1:15 mark here:

Hey Mike-
Thanks for the response. It looks like they are out of Australia. It appears they have a fair amount of authorized retailers as found here: https://xforceusa.com/online-retailers/ I was hoping to see if anyone had personal experience with the exhaust and their firsthand thoughts on its quality and sound.

I have one sitting here right now.
Here's the deal. The exhaust is built to pretty nice quality. It v-bands together which is great. The welds are all TIG and not MIG that has been ground down to hide the boogers. The work is nice. One caveat (or maybe not) - The exhaust valve control... It comes with it's own exhaust valve controller and actuators, so you will need to find a way up into the car or trunk area to get some power off something. They give you this long wire harness that can be plugged into a 12v outlet, but that just looks like a pain in the ass and I dont want anything in that outlet, so I would find a switched 12v source somewhere out back. The controller comes with 2 fobs for opening and closing the exhaust remotely. This may not matter to some as most will just open it up and leave it, no? I am going to run up to my shop, talk to them and see when we can get this baby in. The exhaust control thing can't be too hard to figure out. May even be able to use the original harness after we find out what each pin is. The new actuators that come with the exhaust are 2 wire and I believe the connectors for the factory actuators is 4 wire? That's all I have for now. It cost me like 2600 bucks for the entire catback system which is pretty good considering all of the other various levels of royal screw out there. And the workmanship is a lot better than most. It comes with polished tips, but I ordered black ones just in case that I am still waiting for. The exhaust arrived at my house 2 days after ordering it. I'll update when I know more. |

I’m not sure it’s necessarily the loudness or amplitude that appeals to me, but instead the throaty tone. You folks definitely have a great sounding exhaust as well! Still just in the research phase for me right now.

The only part that needs refinement (if you care...I don't) is the valve control. That in my eyes is not a great implementation for people who are not inclined...to do anything. I bought it anyway though because the stuff that really matters is just as they describe. The exhaust itself is indeed very nice. I will not be embarrassed with my car on a lift. So that's kinda nice. I'll just block the valves open and let her eat...otherwise what are you getting an exhaust for in the first place? |

Curious…can you take the valves off the stock exhaust and replace the XForce ones?

Just had mine installed. The valve integration needs some work so for now I literally plugged in the xdrive system. Opened the valves and unplugged it. The other issue is as far as I understand you need to have the factory valves plugged in or the car throws an error so right now I have the factory valves plugged in and secured under the car. The big issue my shop had is with the clamps. The inner diameter of the clamps is to narrow and it pushes one side down. The weird thing is some of them work some of them don't. All the clamps are the same and all the flanges are the same. Long and short he had some other vband flanges that work and we got it installed and it sounds great. No leaks. I've emailed xforce about the issue with the clamps.

Honestly it's the cheapest full catback. Dinans sounds similar and it's close in price (maybe a little bit more for the mid pipe and axle back) but you still have to cut at the 2nd cat/OPF. Not a huge deal but I wanted the volume of having the OPF gone. That's also the reason I used the word value. Is it 100% easy to install. No. But the value is there for the price and overall quality of the system itself.
