Aesthetic differences between base and comp?

I'm sure I can do some searching, but I thought I'd ask the group.

Performance aside. With the exterior carbon pack and the 19/20 wheel option, is there much difference in the look between the base and comp? 10-20 mm of ride height?

Comp has black emblems instead of chrome

And comp can have black tailpipes (+ mirror caps?) that can be selected to be chrome (body color for mirrors) with the extended shadow line delete package.

So you can get the base to look pretty close to the zcp?

I like the idea of keeping a manual. I have an 18' F80 manual and might want to add a second M3.

On the other hand a loaded G80 x drive auto would be kind of nice too.

We'll see.

Yes; very minor aesthetic differences. Black v. chrome tips and emblems, M striped seatbelts. I think that's it.

Oddly my base g82 came with both striped m seatbelts and black exhaust tips. Maybe that’s Canada specific.

Then I replaced the chrome trunk emblem with black.

The only thing you cannot change, per Flasch in the intro video posted 9/22/20, is the color of the badge. Everything else is fully customizable. My manual M3 is equipped with CF everything, extended shadowline trim, etc.

However, it has a big goofy (and out of place) chrome M3 badge. However, I haven't changed it. It lets people know it's a manual....

I think some early cars came with the M striped seatbelts. Just like some early '21 cars came with laser lights w/out exec package being ordered.

Correct. Press release cars with manual also had the striped seat belts.

My buddy with the M3 comp thinks that it has different brakes and suspension than my car (base). I told him that it does not. I have never read anything from BMW or in enthusiast mags that say that there is any difference except for the transmission and a few extra horsies. And the aforementioned (above) cosmetic things.

Is there a suspension difference between base and comp?

I'm assuming with a Bootmod3 or comparable tune, you can get a base M3 to similar power as a comp pack and looks nearly identical?

I got all those (except black emblems) on my base M3. Maybe Canadian cars are speced differently?!

There's ~170 lb difference between the Base and the X, so it's possible they adjusted the spring rates a bit, but I don't think there's any meaningful difference. Base to C is only 50 lb so I doubt it.
