Yeah I probably won't get them on my next car because the in/out does get old and my size is not helping. For this car though the manual with buckets was a non negotiable, so much fun

I can assure you I do no yoga and find them incredibly comfy. I'm also about 20 years north of 25. OP, I'm 5'11" 190 lbs, and 31 inseam, and personally find them fantastic to sit in. They are devisive. You will want to try them first, if the dealer has no m3 or m4s, they may have them on another model to check out, I sat in a m8 to evaluate before I made my decision. Base seats are also fine, but once I tried the carbon buckets there was no going back. |

Drove mine around for 3 or so hours today. No problems with comfort while driving. Getting in and out is a bit of an ordeal, but totally worth it for me just based off the looks of these seats alone. I’m also “lucky” enough to be not to big or tall

incredibly comfortable. no caveat, just a very supportive and comfortable seat. better lumbar support than the F80 comp seats as well.

At 5'10", 170 lbs, and 32" inseam, ingress/egress requires a little more mindfulness and effort compared to lower bolster seats. But it was easy to get used to and I intend to treat them carefully so they look the same for years. For larger bodied folks, the effort may be more tough.
They're practically my favorite thing about the driving experience. (I'm still in break-in period so maybe my favorite thing soon will be a heavier foot on the throttle. ). I find them eminently comfortable and supportive. I thought the middle carbon fiber thing might bug me, but I don't even notice it, as I don't seem to fidget much with these seats. |

6'@200lbs, sat enough time to realize that it would be painful on long trips.
Don't get me wrong, they look sexy and will do a great job at the track. But not for me.

I’ve done 3 hour drives with them and I find them perfectly comfortable and I love them (I’m a confident 5”6’ 150 lb. male). I drive a manual and the carbon fiber ball bump doesn’t bother me at all. Getting in is not a problem. Getting out is taking some getting used to, especially in tight parking spots, but is definitely not a deal breaker given how much they elevate the interior overall.
My girlfriend does hate them, and reminds me every time she has to get out of the car. Still worth it. |

Look great, but I sat in a demo car for 5 minutes and said said hell no! I'm older and big, which is not a good combo for the carbon buckets. I ordered the standard seats and put the extra money on full leather and the executive package.

Wow, these seats are a popular topic. Simply go to your local dealer and hopefully they have a car on the lot with the Carbon seats. I echo what others have said, do not confirm your order until you have some actual seat time in them.

Exactly. Forget our opinions. IMO, if anyone is even remotely "on the fence" about the C/F seats, don't buy a car with them until you test them out. Too costly to change them out after the fact so...

Ok, I’ll chime in. Not an owner, just tried them out at the dealer this morning on a sweet M8. Getting in was fine. Just drop your butt down and your in. They felt great sitting there. Didn’t test drive the car, just tried the seats.
I was super close to buying a car with them. If a car with the right build popped up I would have bought it. Sight unseen. The car that did pop up didn’t have them and I’m super happy I have the regular seats. Getting out is a bitch. I’m 6’ 200 lbs. older, 56. So that probably plays into it. You really need to try these for yourself. Alec

The real answer here is if you are under 30 and have a girlfriend instead of a wife then get them. If you are over 35 with a wife you would be the rare exception to get them unless she is not in the car often. If you use the car for business at all with customers forget about it. Some will think they look cool, but those are not the people that will make decisions on your deals.. |
