Stay safe out there Denver

I got bit by CSP Lidar on Friday in the WB C470 Express Lane.

Not even a peep out of my R7, but I guess that is expected for Lidar. To be fair, he was in the normal spot so it's my own fault for not being more vigilant.

When I got this car I had wondered if having frozen paint would do anything to combat laser, but I guess the answer is no.

Anyways, my run of 8+ years with no tickets has come to an end, but today is a new day.

Thanks for the heads-up. I'm usually cruising a tad over there myself.

Good morning Denver crew. Just put in an order for a g80 last week. Super excited to be a part of the club and have a nice car to bring to meets.

Did you get any deals or discount off MSRP ? And 2024 or 2025 allocation. Was it a bmw dealer based out of Denver?

Yes, I'll be getting 3500 off MSRP, it's a 2025 allocation, and it's Schomp BMW in Highlands Ranch.

For context, my GF and I are both about to be first time BMW owners. She got an allocation for a 24 m340i that will be here in less than a month. She got 2500 off of hers. With her being a BMW owner, I'll get an additional 1000 off of mine (military, college student, bmw family).

The sales rep I'm working with did offer a 2025 allocation for an M4 that would be ready June/July, but I declined because I want the 4 door.

I only have experience with this dealer, but I've had great results working with them so far when it came to clarity of pricing, discounts, timelines, and keeping me in the loop on the build process.

Do they have open allocations these days or are you on a waitlist?

Schomp was firm on $5K over when I ordered mine, but I guess times have changed.

I'm on a waitlist for M3's, but it seemed like they have relatively close allocations for M4's.

It's the xdrive variant. Doing it because I plan to drive it year round and switch tires when it gets cold.

If you're interested, I had a great experience with BMW of Des Moines. They had an allocation in November through which I ordered my manual M3. It arrived at their location in mid December. They said they get a few allocations quarterly. My car was essentially at the dealership about two months after I initially expressed interest ordering one!
I then had it delivered to me via covered transport for an unbeatable price, as well, in Colorado.
Feel free to message me for information on who I worked with. I'm not affiliated with either of them, just grateful for the experience and willing to help others with theirs!

Garage List
Just wanted to drop a recommendation for Sander Willard (service adviser) and Mattias (tech) at Schomp BMW. Both of these guys are enthusiasts and it was a blast to work with them to get my KW HAS and Spacers installed today. They let me bring in my own parts and were totally accommodating. Best experience I’ve had with service at a dealer.

Also…they comped the teddy bear!
