No, he looked at the history of LCI, where there have, well, never been no new color options.

It would be comedic if the DRL's look better on the 330.

So far, the only time I have seen my DRLs (Lasers) was in the pictures of someone else's car or maybe twice on another approaching G80...
So, the looks of it does not bother me at all.
At $1k, the Lasers were great deal although, functionality-wise, I threw away $1k. I could have easily lived without them...

I do prefer my Laserlight. In the other hand, a good LED Hlight gives a comparable view. Lasers aren't worth the money....but in my pre LCI gives a better looking DRL as told, that's why I've got them....but they're useless in terms of technology.

But....I agree with BMW offering a better looking drl on common LEDs.

You've never seen your DRL's approaching your own car?

Or you could spend a few $ and get them coded to the ROW anti-dazzle software. That's mainly why I bought them.

I've said this on here multiple times and will keep saying it. The lasers are terrible and not worth the money in the US. This is not because they are actually terrible, but because adapting them to the USDOT has neutered them. With the LED icon lights I had on my M2C there was the cutoff line and then the high/main beam. The lasers have a lowered cutoff which rises slightly when main beams are activated in addition to the main beam. That small elevation uptick is where the low beams used to be in every BMW I've had with xenons/leds - which has actually been all of them. Thus, on the highway at 80 at night, the lasers have absolute s*** range. It's downright dangerous. It's entirely possible the LEDs now do the same, but they didn't on my 2021 M2C.

I have heard that the effect is not nearly as noticeable (missing hardware) as on the Euro cars that I drove while over there.

You're missing out. They turn on when the car is unlocked.

have you ever tried manually adjusting the lights up? I have found most cars I've owned, especially the german ones, need the base range adjusted up from factory.

No direct experience yet, but from what I've read, it seems like there are several parameters to change, and some people doing it through Bimmercode aren't getting "all the way there". Those that have had it done via a service, or are more hardcore coders, seem to have better results.

Don't believe there is any hardware difference.

I’ve done that in the past, with mixed results. Seems to be something that never comes out just right. I’ve never had an issue with my BMWs. One Audi had to be readjusted by dealer it was so bad on one side. I’ve talked to multiple BMW employees re this, including engineers. They’re aware of it and just shrugged bc the laser lights weren’t designed for the us.

If we're being honest, most of us bought the car for the performance. I think I speak for a lot of people when I say though the front end is beginning to grow on me, the grille is still objectively ugly and an odd, uneven shape.

I can speak for a lot of people in this forum, I LOVE the look of my car. Performance is good, but I barely drive 300 miles/month, from home to the golf course to the grocery store, so performance is not a necessity for me.

I am more interested about the technology behind them rather than looks. For example, it will have the latest LED technology, something similar to the "Digital Light HD "lighting system like in the new Mercedes/Audi cars ?

Nice, this confirms that previous spy shots with the lower intakes camo'd were, in fact as correctly pointed out by some, the CF upgrade intakes and the car will still retain the hexagonal mesh over those intakes as standard.

Not a huge fan of the headlights. Seeing them more on X5's and X6's around and they don't do much for me.

I find the LCI headlights look better on the SUVs than the G8x
