Are previous generation tow hook plate holders compatible?

Trying to see if I can fit the previous gen tow hook bolt to this gen.

Specifically for use as license plate holder.

Has anyone tried the threads, size, fit, length etc?

Bump, i'd love to know these details as I have seen the one from Raceseng that has a gopro mount option.

From what I have heard, no, they are not compatible. Keep waiting / looking for some different tow hooks.
