Kline is looking more favorable timeline wise. Two ships leave BH in the next week and a half, and stop in Baltimore.

DONINGTON is arriving to Bremerhaven early and will be there in the next couple of hours. It was originally due there on May2nd, which could mean it might leave early. Let’s see! I’m week 14 and have been at the port since April 5th. Really hoping we all get on it. Going to Baltimore also.

Week 14 is a little more backlog than I was hoping for. Would be awesome if we all can make it on the DONINGTON this week, but I'm bracing for mid-May. Does anyone know the average number of production weeks a single ship can accommodate?

I was just dispatched from factory. Hopefully I can make one of the next two boats!

I'm going through quality check now. I'm guessing based on the backlog mentioned above, I'm probably not getting loaded onto a boat until mid-May at the absolute earliest .

🤞

My only concern for getting on the next boat is that many from week 14 & 15 are still waiting at port.

Agree, and I have the same concern. However, it seems that Apollon Highway leaves a few days later, and there are some other WW ships leaving within the next week or so.

Do we have any data for how long 3+ week backlogs take to resolve? What is BMW's allocation percentage on any given ship? How many average build week productions can fit in one such allocation? I know this is probably in the realm of proprietary logistics, but figured I'd pose the question.

Also note, you can sit at port for weeks.

Are you going to the East or West Coast?

I believe the backlog we are seeing are cars going to the East Coast, because of the incident in Baltimore.

So your most likely going to be on either Kline or WW. There is a WW heading east on Saturday, May 4th — the Star Wars ship ;-)

West Coast seems to be either WW or NYK, from what I can tell.

My money is on the buckets but my CA has not been able to confirm whats holding it up...
I recall seeing a February bulletin from my dealer about M carbon bucket seat constraints as early as week 17. I was bumped from week 16 to week 17, but assumed it was due to the individual color. Now I am not so sure it wasn't due to the buckets.

So I called the hotline to confirm my suspicion, and she claimed to see no indication in her system dive that shows the build is delayed due to parts. She's convinced that it was due to significant backlogs at the port. Strange explanation given that cars built after ours destined for the east coast are heading out to the port and out of QC w/o interruption.

I've discovered that three 'geniuses' can give three different accounts of the same reality.

Talked to the Genius today, and it doesn’t look like I’ll be on the ship this week 😒

He said even though it shows I’m at port in the MyGarage, I haven’t been scanned in or processed yet. Said that can take a week or two. There are two ships next week, so still high hopes.

Well scratch that looks like schedules have changed. Next boat out West in on May 14 for both WW and NYK.

Kinda hoping for the NYK ship, since it pulls into port early June, where as WW pulls in June 20th. Not that either matters since I’ll be out of country until late June anyway.

Don't worry about that. I heard the exactly same from a Genius on Friday 4/19 (the car haven't been scanned as entering the port yet), after my car flipped to "at port" on 4/11, and I was unhappy. Then on Tuesday 4/23 I was already "in Transit" on a moving boat, so the car was likely loaded on 4/22.

I’ll keep my fingers crossed I’m on the Figaro when she gets underway tomorrow.
