Here's the timeline for the process, glad to finally have the car.

July 15, 2022 - Allocation received
July 18, 2022 - Build submitted with individual spec and confirmed shortly after (maybe same/next day?) car shows as gray color m3 in my garage - 102 status
September 2, 2022 - “order received” on my garage - 111 status
September 16, 2022 - “scheduled for production” on my garage - 112 status
September, 30, 2022 - "production begins" on my garage - 150 status
October 11, 2022 - “Exterior body assembly begins” on my garage - 151 status
October 12, 2022 - “In the paint booth” on my garage - 152 status
October 13, 2022 - “Entering assembly line” on my garage - 153 Status
October 13, 2022 - “Assembly in progress” on my garage - 154 Status
October 13, 2022 - “Quality Check” on my garage - 155 Status

Since my car was from a local low volume dealer they only charged MSRP + $500 doc fee. I was able to use the $2000 Navy Federal/TrueCar coupon and have submitted the BMW CCA rebate to get another $500 back.

While at the delivery center three other couples were taking delivery of their cars the same day: an x6, x7 and i4 m50. Unfortunately for the couple who purchased the i4 their drive unit was recalled and they were unable to leave with their car. They were introduced to a different i4 to learn about the car's features, but left in a different vehicle.

I hope the people in this thread still waiting get their cars soon!

I too am week 41 - but I ordered an individual color. My car is still “scheduled for production.” Hopefully it will begin production soon!

Quick rundown of specs:

6 MT
Twilight purple
Silverstone interior
Carbon fiber external and internal
Extended shadowline trim
M double spoke bi color wheels.
Think those are the important ones.

Looking forward to joining the M crew!
