Finally we can put to bed the constant questions about if the M3 will be getting the iDrive 8 wide screens. Even though a lot of us already knew it was coming, now those in denial can finally see it for themselves.

Delusional, when pigs fly. CA's are pushing the sticker pack for the G80 Jahre 50th with ridiculous ADM's. Expect even higher ADM for the CSL and CS.

If BMW can keep headlights for these cars, why can't they keep it in X7?

Personally I don't mind ID8. However we've yet to see any proof of ID8 in the 23 model. Considering the CSL will retain ID7, although it may be possible, I highly doubt BMW will integrate ID8 only in the M3 for one year when the M3 and M4 are meant to be the same car. It would make sense for it to come in 2024, similar to how the LCI F80 was only made for 1 year in 2018 with the option of upgraded headlights. Time will tell though, I'm tired of people speculating off of no facts other than a build sheet though..

Still doesn't make sense, why would they produce a MY23 for 3 months before MY24 is out, same thing with the F80 M3. There was speculation the CS would release in 2017 and it winded up joining the LCI in 2018..

Noticing the M4 CSL roof is still undercover where the M3 CS is not... I'd imagine we could expect something like a big "CSL" across the roof similar to the "KITH" logo... I'm hoping more of that comes out with some Jahre 50 cars and other special editions in the next year too.
CS mirrors have camo where the CSL does not as well... Also noting may more bugs on the CSL windscreen.

I was planning to get a G80 towards the end of its lifecycle. Had i had not educated myself with the information in the forum, i would have never ended up getting one as i dont want one with iDrive 8. So called speculations has helped me personally in my decisions / buying process. If we need the official information for any updates, we have to wait for official BMW press release and there is no point of these forums where people can share reliable information. I am sure that information in the below thread has been useful for many. https://g80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=901686 |

Could care less about ID8 or other digital display changes. I just want some steering feedback on the new CS.

Yes, I would certainly agree. The reason why I am on the list for the CSL is the interior, especially the dashboard layout and design. Since i am in the car I want to retain that familiar BMW feeling vs. the new technology curved 2 screen dashboard. Maybe I change my mind if the integration in the M3 is better than all other vehicles……

The CS is worth dealing with ID8 (which i think wont be that bad) because of how great of a car it will be. Plus of how rare it is. Easily worth it!

Good point indeed. I think a lot of us were assuming it would mimic the set up in the i4's interior. Trouble is, the fabric covers in those pics potentially conceal a lot--namely, the extent to which the screen is tacked on top, rather than being integrated into the contours, of the dash where the binnacle etc used to be. Let's hope by the beginning of June they'll quit all this teasing and just show us a MY23 simulation!
