CSL DRL modules (yellow or multicolor)

Hey,

Finally seeing all yellow DRLs Im ready to pull the trigger on those at the time I do tires change for the late fall this year.

1. What are reccomended sources you used, tested and product worked out of the box without any issues?

2. I purchased the car in use with laser lights, but how I can veryfy if I have NA spec or International one without looking behind wheel cover…?

Motorsport+ are the ones to go for, either from ourselves or IND.

If you have a USA car it will be NA spec.

How to set (turn on) the lights so I can see only angels eyes with laser projectors off during the ride? If I click parking lights, those I cannot turn when I do drive. Only when I’m parked.

I got mine from Iceman on Aliexpress for like $170 shipped and that included the boards already mounted on new heat sinks. So far so good.

I have a set of Vinyl2 Design multicolor I never installed. $200 if you want them. I went yellow only as I don’t do car shows or want to change them.

heard they are all the same boards so i dont think you have to spend that much on the motorsport+

Ordered from Alli, as reccomended above. There was promotion with the whole PCBA plus radiators for $100. So even if anything is wrong I will learn the lesson and order from other source like Mike or Ind. Nevertheless >$300 vs <$100 if boards are the same… it quite a nice mark up.

Yes! I was really happy to see it. And the heatsinks look to be OE BMW units, too.

I just received mine from icedriver. Will hopefully put them on this weekend and report back but from other threads people have had no issues with them. Only a few DOA units but customer service seems to be very good.

Nice I just ordered from them. With HeatSinks as well. Much more appealing to me then messing with removing OEM boards.

Recived from “icedriver” faster then other shipment coming from Germany

Very happy with results despite of painfull install from behind the fender. Dealer told that bmw process is to remove full reflector vs coming from behind from the wheel side

But all is done and looks awesome !! love it.

Another +1 for icedriver on Aliexpress. Snagged the ones with the heatsinks and they work great. Save your money and get them from Aliexpress.

Anyone purchased these from Horizon Motorsports? I purchased previously before seeing this thread and have not installed. However, they don’t look OEM like pic posted above from Aliexpress and I didn’t purchase with the Heatsinks which I’m thinking now is better to do.

Yes. This is the right seller. Look on all combination and pick valid for your model.

Quality is very good. Looked at the pcba design and I will tell you it is not hand soldering plus heatsink looks like coming from same line like OEM one

Plus for this price!!!!

Purchased the yellow DRL lights from Iceman on Aliexpress with the heat sinks and go around to installing them today.

Service and speed of delivery was excellent. Will see how they go.

Install wasn't too bad, but that one top screw on the module you access from the wheel arch was a killer. A photo of the tool I put together is below and it worked well.

It's from MHC they make a gloss black one too. I got this from another member on here but I think they got it from R44.
