I would like to do that, but I would lose to much money since we have to pay over 6k euros in tax to get the car on the road. That's 12k. I can't justify that. So I have to make a choice. Cancel my car and buy one now, or keep waiting.

Wait it out.

I got mine this past weekend after 9.5 months. I have no patience, and I was tempted several times to settle on something close to what I wanted. However, after finally seeing it in person, I am so glad I waited. I also got IOMG and full orange interior.

Wait it out or browse the country for a similar specced car which they have on the lot.

Maybe you won’t get the exact same spec but 90% there should be attainable.

At least in the US, any production number comes with the target build week and the dealer will be able to look at the latest information at any given time.

Unless you need a new car right now, I’d wait for the one you have on order. Nothing like getting the exact spec you want and getting to be the first person to drive it off the lot. Whenever I’ve compromised and gotten a vehicle that was close enough to what I was wanting, it usually didn’t stay all that long as all I could do was to think about the few things it was missing.
