IMHO this is a very poor job!! I’ve repainted many wheels (Porsche, BMW, BBS) and never ever have I seen this.
I am tempted to suggest you find a better paint shop. |

This is the crap I always fear about re doing my caliper color. I actually want to re do it to the color of your wheels. I always hear horror stories. Hard to be beat factory.

NO, looks like they did a crap job with prep. Taking the time to properly sand blast and prep the wheels is key. Don't matter what type of powder/paint they use. The FORGED wheels we get are machined at a factory, looks like the guy half assed the prep and sucks at spraying.
First pic looks like overspray, second pic looks like he did not blast that part, or his shop is dirty AF and it landed there during coating and he thought F it. |

Were these really powder coated or just sprayed? Powder coat is a real powder that is sprayed on the wheel and attaches via static. Then the wheels are baked to melt and harden the powder.
This looks like it was sprayed and done really poorly. Most likely they sprayed directly over the original finish without any prep with the paint laid on too heavily. Personally I would say lesson learned and go find a high quality place to redo everything. Wheels now need to be media blasted to remove this finish and the factory finish, then have the new finish re-applied. That is not a simple job and I wouldn't let whomever did this work anywhere near my car again. |

Yeah that's a shit job. Should man up & re-do them or refund the money so somebody reputable could do them.
