Remus mid pipe ?

Came across this mid pipe and I'd be very tempted to run it
Anyone think this is legit for our g8x?

Please note this is not a full midpipe, these are the connection tubes only. REMUS no longer offer full midpipe

In case you do not know the difference. The midpipe is a complete replacement of the pipes between the downpipe and axle back.

Active Autowerke offer a full midpipe, it replaces the 2 secondary cats with 100 CEL cats and deletes the resonators

REMUS 081021 1200 is their midpipe, it keeps the stock secondary cats and only replaces the resonators

the REMUS product you linked 081021 1300 is only the connection tube that allows you to connect the REMUS axle-back properly

Do you know which g80 exhaust will be bolt on? I know for the F80 AWE and I think Remus was. I don't want to cut any stock exhaust piping.

in order for the exhaust to be a direct fit with no cutting, it needs to be a full system. REMUS is not a full system since it keeps the stock secondary cats

Active Autowerke full cataback exhaust is a direct fit with no cutting.

So if let's say I purchase that part I listed, would it fit right in there or would I have to cut into my exhaust? I'm kind of leaning towards just doing an actual Catback at this point but I was just curious on this because of the price

The part you linked will fit the REMUS axle-back, not the stock muffler.

It won't make it a catback , these are only connection tubes to connect the REMUS axle-back as it won't connect to the stock connection tubes.

But this could be a solution for those wanting to cut out their resonators? I’m assuming you would need to buy two?

What would you achieve by cutting out the resonators only, gain in sound? If so, the most impact in sound is made by deleting the secondary cats. You won't notice much with just a resonator delete.

I kind of have to disagree that you won't notice much. I removed both of mine and it was significant enough turning off active sound was a must.

I don't disagree that secondary cats are more restricted thus even more sound, but removing both resonators does make a noticeable difference if you ask me.

The level of sound can be subjective. When I say much it's in reference to deleting the cats which make the most impact. Personally, if I were doing an exhaust upgrade I would want the car loud and at the same time pleasurable to the ears. For some a midpipe replacement would suffice. For me I'm going for the full Remus exhaust setup, replacing the cats, resonators, and mufflers.

Remus UK has an ETA second week of December. This was originally September so not sure if there would be another delay.

1 sport kit left for mid-December
a few race kits left for late January

Customers that are interested in this exhaust have to place a pre-order for it. Waiting for it to be in stock is not an option for the time being with current supply / demand
