About how many allocations are each dealer expected to receive?
We have no idea its way too soon, it depends on production amount. We imagine our store that received three M5CS, will get anywhere from 3-5 M4 CSL.
How many M5CSs were made in total, and how many of them were allocated to NA? Total must have been very small number as I know Canada got 19 and Australia got 20 only.

That knowledge would be a great benchmark for guesstimating M4CSL numbers (total of which is rumoured to number 1000)
So here is a one where I know all the numbers. the Kith edition M4 were a total of 150. From what I saw 83 of them were in the US. From those 83 we received 3 allocations.

I thought Canada received 25 M5 CS's?

My bad, you are absolutely correct. Indeed it was.

I'm curious to know how many forum members are planning to purchase a CSL. I think the M4 GTS provides a reasonable guide of what to expect in terms of modifications and pricing.

I intend to order one if the GTS formula is repeated.

I've got a blind-deposit down but, TBH, I was hoping the M4 CSL would be more like the E46 M3 CSL than the F82 M4 GTS

Not good news if true as most would want it to be closer to E46 M3 CSL.

Since the M4 CSL is a model year 2023 car, will it have iDrive 8?

I’ve had my deposit on the csl since the g80 was pre launched. The first person on the list out of the dealers they have across Canada.

I’m so torn now since the gt4 rs release. Chances of getting an allocation is slim

GT4 RS possible options on the config are just insane for a 718, I know it will be a rare one but 200k++ CAD is a good chunk..

You should try it in Australia

$300k plus taxes and the rest

try $330k and that's before any options

Hot off the press:

Not more than half an hour ago, I received a phone call I've been awaiting for several months from my dealer.

Apparently, Australia is likely to receive between 20 and 25 G82 M4 CSLs and all dealers are now to provide "firm signed contracts" (with no price or delivery date yet), accompanied with substantial deposits with timestamps by end of this week. Allocations, according to my dealer, are said to be decided on a first-in-best-dressed basis, until exhausted.

Based on the demand, BMW Australia will decide if it will be 20 or 25 coming to our shores (although, if the demand is high, there's nothing to stop them sending 100 really).

When the M5 CS was released, we got 20 allocations in Australia. It seems reasonable to imagine the total number of M4CSLs may be similar to those of the M5CS.

Anyway, contract was signed and sent posthaste with a big grin on the face and all fingers and toes crossed

Thanks for the update. I'm going to reach out to my sales associate right now to see if he's heard the same for our market.

Isn’t the M4 CSL supposed to go in production in July 2022? Assuming this is the case, shouldn’t this be revealed soon?

Thanks. I'm in Canada. I picked up an M4 GTS earlier this year and love it (even more than my M2 CS or M5 CS) so I'm hoping to be equally impressed by the CSL.

I was thinking the same. Emailed my dealer this afternoon and they had no new info.

It must be happening early in the new year?

I also emailed my dealer yesterday (Canada) that if they can secure an allocation I will take it. I am pretty confident about the value of this CSL in time. I do plan on tracking it and maybe putting 25-30k km's in 3-4 years but I don't fear this will affect much the value.

My friend will receive his GTS Black series soon and someone offered him 200k cad over his cost to have it...

Anyways normal depreciation doesn't bother me much but it's a nice bonus if you don't get any.

The dates Jason posted at the beginning of this thread confirm your understanding

https://www.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...php?p=27461680

Having said that, I have a question: Ifffff the M4CSL is a 50th anniversary offering, does that extend to the entire M4CSL production which ends in February 2023, or will it be limited to those manufactured in 2022?

I can't get behind it at that price point. If it was $120K it would make sense
