I’ve had the g80 2021 for two years and now have a 2023 (for over a year) and this is the first time I found out that my car has a rear climate control with screen. 😅Had to go check it out after reading this post.

Not galvanized center air vent covers , less leds and now this. Unfortunate for higher msrp car . At least we didn’t get full 5 series treatment just yet.

Carbon fibre interior and Metallic paint is now extra in the UK as well.
The big miss for me (well my passengers) from going from the M440i to the M4 is the rear centre armrest with the cup holders in it. Oh, and being able to open the boot by kicking your foot under it. |

Must have been part of the shortages...I've never heard of it missing from the G80 on any year though. Did you buy it new? If so, did they provide a credit?

Typical BMW, but I'm not surprised in the slightest especially given the reaction to this thread (most of you don't care). BMW knows most M4 owners don't have anyone back there and the money savings adds up for them. In a weak market where there's hardly any competition vs the M4 at around $90-110k (Audi RS5 being the only one as far as I'm concerned), BMW knows that this cost savings will not affect the number of people buying the M4 in the slightest - so why not?

So was my comment. Porsche in known for removing annoying things for very little performance improvement in the name of "weight savings." BMW is known for (these days) simply being heavy.
Apparently poorly articulated joke and point being, it is absurd BMW would remove this feature at all and certainly with a price increase. Same issue with the loss of wireless charging on my 2022 M5. |

Just realised that there is a lot of piano black in the updated steering wheel. Something to keep in mind for those looking to upgrade just the wheels.

There is. I left a nice fingerprint by the volume buttons on the one I sat in this weekend. Bad place for piano black trim.
