I get the feeling they build the right hand drive cars first, but that's only a guess
It would appear than the CSL production numbers will be similar to the M5CS's. One, possibly two allocations for larger dealers.

Canada received around 30 M5CS's which started landing in June. I suspect we'll also be near the front end of the build cycle for the CSL. Doesn't the first page of the thread state production will commence this July?
So far, each dealer (NY/OH… yeah don't ask.) that I've given a deposit to said they only have one coming to them.

My slow ass is "second in line if they get another." Hopefully one of them gets a second one.

Roll cage or not? I hope it will be available as an option. Would look weird with all the empty space in the back… actually pretty awful.
It is not like Porsche with their tiny back seats. Deleting those would not be an issue. I think Porsche even makes the roll cage optional in the GT3.

Might be an option, not sure though.

Looks like I may settle for a M4 CSL as a 992 911 Turbo S is very expensive and seems more like a grand tourer than a hardcore car. Plus the 992 Turbo S may eventually go hybrid which is a complete deal breaker for me.
You can get a GT3 allocation, but you need to be willing to drop 100K over MSRP for the allocation (happy to give you the info if you want).
I have a 718 GT4 and I can get a 4RS allocation, but in the past I've paid under MSRP for a GT car and am willing to do a 4RS as MSRP, which I am waiting to hear if it's mine or not at that price.

Porsche gave you the option to have rear seats depending on what seats you bought (same with the 992 GTS). If you buy the buckets, you get no rear seat. If you buy sports/sports plus seats, you get the rear seat. You cannot mix and match though (ie buckets with back seat, or 18 ways with no backseat).

I was told May 20th by someone in BMW. Either they mis-typed or they want to reveal it on the Friday before so that the hype sticks over the weekend.

In any case, end of May reveal.

Have we heard anything about that other manual special edition car that has been rumored here and on other threads. Would that be even more limited or widely available or just a rumor

That would be the CSL Hommage. This one will be really limited and extremely expensive. Less than 500 cars will be made.
But it will look very special.

I thought the Hommage project had been scrapped. If not, that is definitely the one I want and I will change my order ASAP.
Will do some research in the mean time.
