M4 CS color choice: Riviera blue and frozen iomg

These should have been the m3 CS colors to start with.

So basically an M4 XComp with CSL suspension bits, the CSL strut brace and hood and CSL tune.

Correct. Just like the M3CS was. Aka a waste of money. You can get the full CS/CSL coding for $200 and it's about 80% or more of the difference in drivng feel between them. And you get to keep your cuo holders.

(I got the CS tuning on my Comp xDrive, and it's definitely noticable in the steering, suspension and MDM. As well as differential). You can get the transmission as well, but I already have xHP, so didn't need it.

Yeah, for people that don’t intend to keep them stock or want the CSL power out the gate and don’t want to mess with things, I never understood why they’d spend the extra dough… but hey, I (at minimum) flash every car I get to unlock power the factory left on the table. Never had any reliability issues.

The two things I’d miss the most on the M4 is the carbon hood and that sweet trunk lid, but even the trunk is available from one particular maker that’s done an exact 1:1 copy of the CSL mold, down to the mounting holes for the rear camera, tails, etc… no drilling or other bs needed like the bad copies out there.

Not if you just do the coding. You’d have to do a FEMTO unlock and then BM3 flash it to the CSL map, but at that point you might as well flash to a Stage1 map and get a little more power. It’s all user preference really. If they’d rather stick with a calibration that comes from BMW and if considered factory safe, then they’d just run the CSL map on their DME and be happy.

I think the CSL tune is totally worth the $200 and one of the best things out there. Too bad BMW keeps sending these updates and you have to pick and choose if you really want the updates to pay another $100 for the retune. The CSL tune does cut back a lot on the rev hang and its so much fun driving in regular traffic in D2 mode. Now with the D3 and full sport steering and brakes, its a beast and wants to be unleashed !!!

I got the Alpha N style carbon hood, which I prefer to the CS/CSL style hood anyways. So for me that's kind of a moot point, personally. Might get a carbon trunk for weight savings, but if keep the OEM style to keep my duckbill. Hmmm....

Oh see I'm femto unlocked. So I haven't gotten any updates since a few months ago 😂

No. But I'm also sitting at ~1100hp at the moment, so I think I'm slightly beyond the CSL power levels 😬😬

Ive used Bimmer-Remote for the CSL flash twice for my M3 and for apple carplay for my X3. Pretty honest and straight forward. I wish they would do the reflashes for free or cheaper coz it only takes them like 5-10 min to do the flash.

I know others won’t agree but I’d never buy a frozen color. Different maintenance requirements for the paint and nearly impossible to match if you get a scratch or have an accident that requires a body panel to be reprinted. If I really wanted the frozen look I’d just do a matte PPF.

If I had to pick one I’d go IOMG but then again, I’m bias😉

Good luck on your decision!

I had a few frozen colors and the maintenance isn't that bad. Considering the additionnal cost, I would rather spend the same money towards mat ppf on a regular paint. But I really want IOMG on this one...

I was offered a Frozen White CS at the dealership last month . The car had been sitting for 2 month snd they wanted to move it. They truly offered me a good deal but refused to give up my m3 comp Xdrive for the simple reason of the IOMG color.
