Emergency Call System Malfunction
Got this yesterday and even though I restarted my car it persisted. So, I scheduled a service appointment with my dealer (after reading through forums). However, this morning it was gone and hasn’t reappeared? Looks like this has been an issue for years, water getting into the shark fin roof antenna? Should I cancel the appointment?

It's been issue for pretty much all BMW models and never got fixed properly. You can have it checked and fixed under warranty but they would dismantle the roof lining just to replace the battery / or the board in there !!!
Not worth the trouble IMHO I just code it off. |

You have to check the car first to see if the leaking in this case to fix it. Otherwise in my case it is a dead battery and I just dont want to tear down the roof just to replace it ( i have the phone with me full time anyway so not really a matter requiring that car call function).
The below were done via bimmercode. Instrument cluster ECAL_ALIVE = nicht_aktiv ECAL_TIMEOUT = nicht_aktiv 300A CC_Konfiguration --> CC_MELDUNG_0299=> nicht_aktiv |
