Valvetronic midpipe and spacers

For those of you that have installed the valvetronic midpipe, did you or your shop have to add spacers to the cross brace for clearance? I track my car a fair amount so I'm trying to avoid reducing the rigidity and would like to avoid spacers. Unclear if it's realistic to expect everything to fit as is.

I know the active autowerke midpipe now comes with a lowered brace exactly for this problem, but I want a titanium midpipe for weight savings, and only valvetronic offers this for now.

My shop had to add a small spacer to my Valvetronic pipe. Seems the norm unfortunately. It wasn't much though.

Is yours one of the new updated design ones (with the flex joint) or was it the older design?

Per valvetronic, no spacers are needed with their new designed midpipe

Mine is the new design with the flex joint. The mechanic that installed it said it was so close to the brace he was worried it may vibrate in certain conditions so he just put in some very small clearance washers. I have no issues with that but I also don't track and can see your concerns. These are all hand built and each pipe can fit a little different. I believe the titanium ones are a little thinner. I know not by much but it may be enough to quell your concerns?

I had one of the early ones and no spacer needed. My guy just pushed the heat shield up with his had a little and it fits perfect, no rattle or vibrating

Very happy with this mid pipe. It's a beast especially with a valve controller. It's just the right amount of loud!

Mine was pre updated mid pipe and had major clearance issues. I have ordered inked customs strut brace which gives an extra 22mm of clearance.

Where did you order this from? I don't see an inkedcustom brace anywhere online and Google doesn't turn up anything either.
