Hi all, just bought a new M80 Xdrive. I normally change my oil on my new cars at 500 miles, don't make fun, I have a lift in my garage and its cheap insurance. Anyway, did any of you change just the oil (not the filter) before the break in service at the dealer? Thanks!!

No that's excessive, leave that break in oil in until the dealer changes it. You can change the oil between the free ones though.

Don't change the oil at all and let the dealer to the break-in service at 1200.

The engine oil is different during break-in until you get service done at 1200. The kind of point of this is probably what you're trying to achieve with the 500 mile change.
