Rim barrel brush

Any recommendations for a quality wheel brush that can fit in-between the front caliber and rim barrel? 2024 G82 Wheels. Thanks

I bought a 3pk of varying sizes and it was more of a pain than it was worth. I have resorted to pulling the wheels maybe once a month to wipe out the barrels. With the CCB’s they stay pretty clean but of course there is all of the other junk that gathers regardless of brake type.

Not sure if it fits between brake and wheel as my car is still incoming, but this is my go to wheel barrel cleaner. It's fantastic.

Plus this for the spokes:

Also recommend Sonax the Beast if you’re looking for a solid wheel cleaner. I barely even scrub my wheels now. Let it sit for a few minutes and pressure wash off. Gets the wheels like 90% clean without much effort.

Be careful letting that sit too long. It's decently acidic...pH of 5.

I ruined the finish on a set of calipers once using wheel cleaner that was too acidic.

I am currently using the P&S Brake buster and washing off with a pressure washer. Brake buster is very mild but works fine being I wash the car all the time. The Sonax is much stronger and great for build up. Sonax makes great stuff, I use Sonax perfect finish for most of my paint corrections. I have a few micro fiber brushes like the ones linked above. Just cant get 100 percent of the wheels. I just picked up a set of quick jacks so taking the wheels off every few weeks really is not a big deal.

Yep, this is why I only use wheel cleaner (IronX is my jam) with the wheels off the car. The Phosphoric Acid will eat the paint or powdercoat right off your calipers.

Flat Incredibrush for most of the barrel and caliper, plus the EZ Detail brush to get behind the caliper. The Rag Company has a small mitt that I use for the face.
Currently using McKees wheel cleaner to soak, and P&S Brake Buster in the wash bucket.

I've been impressed with the Barrel Blade. Thin, long, flexible with washable/replaceable cover.

I have a Maguire brush and use P&S Brake buster. I clean my wheels regularly and have ceramic brake pads.

I use one of these. You can find them at lots of places with prices between 12 and 30 bucks. One of my favorites for our wheels.

Great for the spoke areas but easy to snap these trying to wrestler around the caliper and not really long enough to get the full barrel.

does it get between the front caliper and the barrel? I've tried the incredibrush flat and my old angled wheel woolie and neither fit. Currently I just roll the car forward a foot and get that spot.

Been using couple years now and never snapped one. Also never had an issue getting the whole barrel. But just my experience. Lots of great tools out their just have to find the one that works best for you.

With gloss black wheels, I switched to a microfiber brush. Looking at the wheel gets a scratch.

This wheel tool was built for 826m wheels. Easily gets between spokes. The pointed tip gets between (behind) the spoke and the base of the rim. Fits easily to clean the wheel barrels too. I spend 50% less time cleaning my rims. On a side note I installed a set of EBC Red Stuff last weekend. No noise and considerably less dust. Cleaning 826m wheels is a PIA.

Have gone thru a couple of the red brushes and the handle breaks easily. Returned them to Amazon.

I believe I have 2 of the exact brush pictured. I've used them more times than I can count and haven't broken one yet.

That all said, replacing my stock pads with the iSweep 1500 brake pads was the one thing that really "fixed" the 826M cleaning issue.

Yeah, I installed a set of EBC Red Stuff last weekend. No noise and very little dust. Should have done it on day 1....
