I had this same problem. Its a bit of work but I spent a lot of time on auto trader doing a search around the entire country for new M3's. 90% are sold orders but they call you back if the customer backs out. It took a while but I finally got a call back with a color and build I was comfortable with that had buckets. I felt like willie Wonka and the golden ticket.

I was under the impression that this thread was about the availability of carbon buckets.
People are so sensitive and insecure about their decisions. Let’s get back on the topic. If you want to contribute more on pros and cons of each seat option, there’s a separate thread on that. |

The facts:
The carbon buckets are awesome. For what they are, they are pretty comfortable. If your legs are a certain size, the carbo ball anchor can be annoying. If your legs naturally splay outward, the thigh bolsters can be painful For what they are they are a bargain They are much more difficult to get into than the base seats. Even if you fit, even if you find them comfortable, even if you think they are cool, even if you could easily afford them, you STILL may not want them. Making that choice is ok. It does not make the car any “less” nor the buyer any “less” of a person. It’s still an M3, still a very high performance machine. The base seats still have plenty of support for spirited road driving. Everyone makes their choices for a reason. Likely, you have zero clue what that reason is so best to just zip it and keep your opinion to yourself. It’s a huge shame that these are on stop sale. They are very cool, and very unique. Much cooler than the old C63 buckets for sure. For those of you who want them, I hope your situation gets resolved soon. |

Be careful with that type of rhetoric on here , they will come out with pitch forks and burn you at the stake ! Next thing you’re gonna say is ID8 integration makes it look less special too , like some sort of Kia or something of that nature ?? Whoops they will come for me now too … |

Also, by your same rationale, M3/M4's with carbon fiber seats are the first time M cars have been more special than a mustang gt or something of that nature...

The M3 looks like a 1990’s Altima…
I’m bored - so just thought I’d join the party with a dumb-ass post of my own

I’m 4’2 and 350lbs of lean muscle with carbon buckets in my g82 mustang. I feel pretty confident saying the buckets are like nice titts with nipple rings.
Base seats are like saggy orangutan titties with visible nipple hair. The buckets are for people with 10/10 fit bods. Fat bois need not apply. |
