Your location says NYC. Go up to Bear Mountain, Harriman State Park or over into some roads in upper Westchester and get back to us.

Since you haven't test-driven the 911 yet, I'd suggest giving it a shot to see how it feels on the road. Ultimately, it comes down to personal preference and what driving dynamics resonate with you. Take your time, maybe even test drive both, and go with the one that really speaks to you!

I’ve driven them all over. Maybe I’m just looking for someone different than the rest of you guys.

- drink cooler

and still had plenty of room left.

Definitely would have had to go with a roof rack to try that with a 911.

Different priorities.
If you were my friend with a M4, I too would have asked you to keep my golf clubs and carryon while I drive my 911

could be. Turbo is far more usable every day. I have found going from a naturally aspirated 991 to a Turbo 997 that the Turbo is just too much. I like chasing revs in the sports car, so for me the GT3 is what I'm after in a weekend toy, and I don't mind the stiff ride. I wouldn't want to own one and use it super frequently though, it's a lot.

^good assessment. gt3 is great weekender. but like someone said, if only one, the M checks all the boxes (except stock exhaust noise!)

Does not every BMW M buyer eventually see themselves in a Porsche post 50 years old?

Not me. I am done with tight cars that sit on the ground. There is so much hype around Porsche it is hard to not think everyone wants one.

Took a drive yday in a friends 991.1 gts but with a modified exhaust (soul exhaust). Wow that sounds amazing! The car is objectively slower than any g80 but the noise it makes is incredible.

I'm about to hand over the keys to my 997 Turbo S and couldn't agree more. I guess I must be getting old. I agree on the hype, they are absolutely wonderful driver's cars. But even in the touring-friendly Turbo guide, it's still loud, low and a compromise to live with. And this despite the fact that the G8X is just as fast on a track. Faster around VIR in the Lightning lap according to the Car and Driver tests but on equal tires about the same I would guess. That's pretty incredible given that it has lsss power, more
Doors and about 600 pounds more weight.

The 9A1 3.8 na is the best sounding engine series Porsche has ever built. Better even than the current 4.0's in the GT3 (and a lot better than the guttural 4.0 in the Cayman GTS). Uncorked it sounds amazing; even with the factory PSE it sounds fantastic

It's a peaky engine though. Peak torque is 325 ft-lbs at, wait, 5,750 RPM. And peak power is 430 at 7,500. That means caught at normal street speeds, the car feels a bit lethargic. But man on cam it starts pulling so sweetly.
