Someone Tell Me It's Going to Be OK
I finally took delivery of my IoMG G80 6mt yesterday... in my dreams. Strange thing was that I was driving the car around some narrow streets of San Francisco (I live LA), and I was eager to get to my destination (Jack in the Box...odd I know), so that I could hop out and take a look at the IoMG color, which I have never seen before in person. (Apparently, in my dream I somehow got in the car without ever seeing the exterior.)
Only problem was that Google Maps was acting up and rerouting me to different Jack locations and there was road construction everywhere. In an attempt to maneuver around one such worksite, I scraped the entire front-right side of my car against a steaming, hot pile of asphalt. The slow, screeching sound--like nails on a chalkboard--of the German metal deforming made my blood curdle. With construction crews yelling, and me almost in tears, I woke up in a cold sweat (along with an odd craving for low quality tacos). Someone please tell me it's going to be ok. (And to also lay off checking my production status everyday.) |

LOL welcome to the waiting period. If you got lane departure that situation shouldn't happen haha. Also I heard they add a day to your delivery time every time you check production status
Enjoy man.. it will be here soon, and it will be worth it. |

agreed, worth the wait. Just a warning, the toughest period is the days between when they tell you it is at the dealer and when you finally pick it up. Let's say it was hard to focus on work yesterday :-).

The wait will make it that much sweeter when it finally arrives (hopefully). Reminds me of the saying- the two happiest day of a boat owners life is the day you buy it, and the day you sell it. Wonder if this holds true for M3's.

Neah, it gets better every day with the M3 :-). Can't wait to finish work and go out and drive it. Then can't wait till the break in service is done so I can open it up to the limit. And I am sure day by day I will get more comfortable with it and be able to push it further.

OP, had you actually arrived at JITB, would you eat in the car or put the bag in the trunk to avoid ruining that new car smell?

6 months for me. Added insult to injury because I did PDC delivery.
It's worth it, I swear. It'll be here before you know it.
