Was out running errands and ran into this in the parking lot. Parked next to it to get a few pictures. (I’m no pro photographer and it was on an iPhone)

I thought people might like to see the cars side by side. Both six speed manuals which was nice.

Unfortunately my car was a bit dirty but the pictures still came out ok.

**EDIT** I was parked further away and came out of the store and saw him parked. I moved my car next to his to get pictures and then left.

The front of the caddy looks decent but the rear still reminds me of Paulie from the Sopranos LOL

Front of the caddy looks so much better than the M3, but the rest of the M3 looks better than the caddy. Love that they made that car in a manual. Monster of a motor

I always park far away but appreciate when another well taken care of / enthusiast car parks near me. Strength in numbers

Haha I was parked even further away but when I came out I saw the his car, pulled up next to him to get the pictures and left.

I've managed to get a good look at a couple of CT4 BWs and one CT5 BW. The CT5 looks so much better from pretty much all angles than the CT4. The CT4 rear is at least as strange looking as the front of our cars and I ended up struck with a strong "something is off about this thing" from the side and front of the CT4.

I care about the driving experience, use-case, and interior more than awkward exterior appearance, though. If a dinosaur ate my Frog, the CT4 would be on my list to purchase before the CT5...mostly because the CT5 won't fit in my garage space.

I fully realize that people that have the blackwing just love it, probably is faster, etc. etc.

But I just cannot get on board with that car IMO.

Obviously subjective, but my buddy's BW5 (black) gets zero comments other than "is that the new Camry?" When he's passenger in mine he can't get over how many points, videos, pics, head spins and shouts the BMW garners. After hunting for a fair priced BW5 I have passed on a recent dark grey (my preferred color) auto for a great price because the overt yet classy styling of my skyscraper grey/tartufo strokes the ego a bit more. Vanity + ego = downfall of most, ha.

I don't track nor race on public roads, but when alone and it's safe, I'll drive the BMW like I stole it. I don't do 0 to 60 or 1/4 miles. The BW5 is so much more fun to slide and listen to. Obviously roll-on and 5mph-whatever is the G8x shortcoming with the lag, it's only a 2.8s car under perfect conditions and launch which I never do. There's where a BW5 and its ilk are freakishly fun. Too bad the Camaro ZL1 is hideous in so many ways because that's the bargain of the century in my OPINION.

Agree the instant torque of that motor / transmission setup is awesome. I had a 2013 CTS V wagon (manual) and a 2015 ZL1 previous gen Camaro and they were a blast.

I love the feel of the S58 motor and turbo lag though. With a simple stage 1 tune it’s just as fast as a BW. Both are amazing cars/platforms.

As much as I like the Blackwing, it looks a bit bland for what it is, especially in this colour. Cadillacs are starting to look good in general though.

Had they dropped Cadillac from the name and just named it the “Blackwing”, they’d have 1 more buyer (me).

Unfortunately I can’t get past the name but it’s a nightly machine indeed.
