Recall shows RAM still open. I can no longer track my vehicle status in MyGarage and it just shows as a completed vehicle so I need to call Genius for any updates. Called today and the only status he could provide was there is a "pending work order" on my VIN. Didn't have any location status or way to tell me when that would be completed.

You guys won’t believe this and I don’t quite believe it but my tracker is now showing dispatched from factory. I am week 47 and have been in QC since 11/24. The recall tool is still showing the same open RAM issues so I am guessing BMW gave up and the car will sit at port or VPC.

Called my salesperson last week and haven’t heard anything yet.
Very frustrating to say the least. As others have said it’s the not getting any information whatsoever that is part of the problem and adds insult to injury.

Oddly, on the tracker home page, doing the network data trick, my production date changed from 11/24/21 to 1/11/22. Not sure if that means anything.

Mine had done something similar and changed from 11/5 to 12/23, but I wasn't lucky enough to move out of QC.

That's positive and interesting! My week 47 G82 has been in QC since exactly the same date as yours. Here in the UK we can't track our vehicles exactly like you guys in the US can, only via our SA or Genius, but I know from my SA that as of Friday 7th Jan mine was still in QC.

Also interestingly, the recall tracker has never shown any open RAM or stop sales issues on mine, but word from BMW via my SA is that it is/was missing something related to semi-conductors.

I'll see if I can get an update via Genius tomorrow.

according to my SA someone from Munich just called and said that my m3 will leave the factory this week

For my 330i, also, the recall tracker has never showed any open RAM or Stop Sale nor did anyone ever tell me that something was amiss with the build. Out of the blue, the BMI Genius congratulated me today that the car just left Port Hueneme VPC because the “work order was completed there for your missing audio chip.” This was completely new information to me. My car had been stuck in QC for almost five weeks, but the Geniuses always told me that it wasn’t because my car had any issues. The amazing news is that my first BMW, in phytonic blue with oyster, really is on a truck heading for my Bay Area dealership right now.

No movement on my week 47 G82 according to Genius. Just the standard response:

"Cars that remain at this status [QC] are awaiting parts due to semiconductor supply issues due to the ongoing worldwide critical parts supply. At this time, we cannot provide estimated delivery dates."

That response gets me so angry because I know thats not true, there are vehicles that were produced and are on dealership lots that were week 48+ builds.. I really wonder how much longer this is going to go on for...

Update on delivery delay. Received information that my vehicle is built but is waiting for the infotainment unit. Other vehicles are in a similar situation. Was informed that once the part comes in then the next vehicle in line will be taken care of. However, they could not tell me where my vehicle is in the queue.

My order was accepted 8/28/21, production started 10/13/21, quality check 11/12/21. Week 42 build and its now officially 9 weeks stuck at quality check.

So that response makes me so angry for another reason. BMW has full departments dedicated to supply chain management and logistics. You know darn well, they would not accept "we don't know when" as an answer from a suppliers. They have timeframes, they just aren't letting us know.

They don't want to read the quiet part out loud; the quiet part being they'll get ship our vehicles once they have enough parts for their backlog but they think it's somehow better to keep us in the dark as to when rather than give us the (likely far out) date.

I am dispatched from factory as well as of today. G82. Was awaiting carrier assignment for a month. QC for 2 weeks before that. Week 49.

This process for everyone is so weird. I was stuck in QC then suddenly jumped to dispatched from factory. No final assembly or waiting carrier assignment.

I think if there was a web cam of the factory parking/holding lot, it would be jam packed with cars parked everywhere, kind of like dealers in the US before all this chip supply crap....or maybe like rental car lots when all of their cars came home for the COVID shutdown break.
