Imagine how damn sexy this thing would be, with a M8-style kidney grill!

Love the headlights, bumper - hell even the side and back look stunning... This colour is gorgeous as well!

But will not be upgrading my F36 to this new gen (looked slightly better on the i4, but low hopes on production version)

I wouldn't get this color, but I really like it. Still not loving the beaver grill. The rest of the car looks really good with the proper set up.

Either way, this is probably the most talked about car of 2020 due to the divisive design, maybe second to the new Bronco. BMW definitely got eyeballs on this car for better or worse.

This car needs a few changes:

1) reduce the size of front grill, by A LOT! This will look fugly with our Canadian / US number plate.
2) powerdome, instead of the new stupid design.
3) Lexus like back, follow BMW heritage for the back of the car.
4) reducing the size and weight of the car.

Then we will have a sweet M3.

Agreed on the m3 being the better looking car. I'd drive that. I'm sure it'll be a blast too.

I'll be honest, these are the best photos I have seen so far and makes it look... better... it's still a poor design change though, could be a lot better. That said, my criticisms are not just the grille, but hey.

Even if its ugly its still a car many will drool over because what's the other option? Audis? fail. Benzos? ehh Carreras? Welp they aren't GT cars so also ehh.

My issue with the G8x is the weight. I am desperately hoping its a miscue. 3890 lbs? Does it come with an anchor?

More than likely they are setting us up for the CS and future variants since they are giving us the competition from day one. Lets hope they are lighter.

That looks seriously good from this angle. Isle of Man Green was a great launch color choice for the M3

Ouch and agree on so many levels. I love the brand...but damn the premium cost of ownership. Porsche's leading 15% return on sales is definitely by design but they will miss that this year and the C8 is a legit threat to Porsche at its price point.

I hope we can see 718 4.0L optioned out the door for a similar price as this G8x so purists can have a more affordable, light, NA, mid engine sport car for a more reasonable price than currently 🙏🙏🙏
