BMW Updates Dont forget to recode

BMW released a new update and if your coded you will need to recode what features you coded just FYI - Some of you who are new to coding have reached out to me and asked why your coding's are gone - BMW updates wipe them out but for some of us its easy to just recode
I notice though before the F series had no issues just the 2021 and newer models

I also received this update since I forgot to deactivate the remote software update in settings. I lost all my Bimmercode features, the M3 CS steering & transmission tune, and the anti-dazzle coding, which is disappointing, but they can always be recoded.

However, what I'm primarily concerned about is the loss of the remote start functionality after the update. The triple-click on my key fob does nothing, and the ventilation feature in the app doesn’t start the car; it just runs the air conditioner off the battery.

Has anyone else encountered this problem or know how to solve it?

Go into settings in your dash -> ventilation settings -> Prestart or something like that and click it on.

Hi. Question, You lost anti dazzle coded via BimmerCode or third party?
Thank you!

Oddly, after this update, all of my BimmerCode settings were still there. I’ve always had to recode after an update.

Thanks for the suggestion, it ended up solving my issue.

I had it coded by a third party after seeing talk on the forums that the Bimmercode option wasn't as refined. Since I was getting the M3 CS steering & trans coded, I decided it made sense to have it all done at the same time.

Thank you for the response, also thinking to do the CS code, sometimes I worry about my dealer (super picky) giving issues if something happens for example with the trans! I coded via a third party ASD/Antidazzle and I was told that ASD will be out but not anti dazzle with bmws updates. Guess I’ll know it when I update, especially anti dazzle (I hardly noticed the difference). I’m currently on 07/2023.

Same, currently on that version too and haven't gotten the update yet. Will be coding with Kuba once the update is done!

Things like Anti-Dazzle and CS steering require FA coding, which will get wiped on a software update, you'll have to get it recoded. The VO coding portion of it (things you need ESys for) will not get wiped during an upgrade, but it's not the full coding of what you need.

I have antidazzle, CS pkg coded. The software update has downloaded, but I haven’t selected to install at this point due to the coding I have.
Does anyone know what this new software update contains/solves? Do we get a smoother tune, shifts, quicker displays, fix the inconsistent connectivity with CarPlay, etc.? I would prefer not to update if it doesn’t do anything meaningful.

Can the CS Steering (not Trans) be coded to Manual cars? How big of a difference is it vs stock?
