Current mark ups?

Hi, what has been the experience for the past month on mark ups (or discounts) if any? Will be financing (no lease), I do have an allocation and it will be at MSRP, however I'm guessing prices will start to be discounted with the current economics, but let me know if I am wrong. Thanks!

CA is saying I can't use a UDE code if I get one...anyone know why that would be?

There is some language about it not being used on ordered cars, but I believe it has been worded like this for a while. I used one a few years back on an ordered car, with no issue.

I am curious to see how this pans out, as I have a UDE credit and my car should be on truck to the dealer today.

The irony is that the Brahman group is slime of south Florida yet a source for base finance rates.

Doesn't mean they won't try to F you over if you can manage to buy a car from them.

At least they are helping out the community by publishing the information.

Call around to a few different dealerships...but should be the same unless they have specific things for your local area.

BMWFS if offering 2.9% for 72 months but building loyalty into it. I.e. I won't get $750 or $500, whatever the amount is. Thoughts on the rate?

Normally you get both whatever rate plus any available incentives when using BmwFS especially if its loyalty or least cash.. However 2.9 is way below market rate and its likely the dealership may not be using BmwFS as there rates should be 4 percent plus unless you locked something in a while ago.

Read the fine print...many incentives expire at the end of the month so after 10/31 some of these maybe gone or updated.

Loyalty Lender Bonus Cash
Requirements and Restrictions:
Current BMW owners may receive loyalty offer. Offer requires BMW Financial Services financing. Trade-in not required. Cannot be combined with conquest offers and USAA incentives. Proof of BMW ownership required. See your BMW Center for complete details.

To answer the question if you can get 2.9% on 72 months vs 4 or 5%...thats way more savings than a 500 or 750 dollar kick back.

Agreed on this for sure. I'm planning on paying cash, but if I could get 2.9% for 72 months I'd be financing for sure. The account that money is sitting in is currently earning 2.6%, and with the fed announcing another hike that is only going to increase.

Yeah, even tossing money in the market will probably make more than 2.9.

In the long term it absolutely will. In the short term it might or might not. I made three M3s in 2020 and again in 2021, but so far I’ve lost four in 2022. Just the way it goes. That’s why the funds actually intended for the car (which should be in the March 2023 timeframe) are in a safe account.

Very nice. I might move if I don’t see another bump shortly here. That would make the decision to finance (if I could indeed get that rate) a true no-brainer.

Ended up doing 2.9% for 72 months with BMW.

Any thoughts on Gap insurance? Should I get that with BMWFS or not needed?

What about dent pro and wheel/tire.

All 3 products are being offered for about $3500

Gap insurance yes...covers you if your upside down and total the car...you will likely be at a 72 month loan.

Wheel/ tire read the find print what does it cover and with what deductable and how many accidents.

How bad are you roads or likelihood of you curbing a rim. Road rash is easy to fix... Rims and tires can be had cheaply vs 3k up front...

Risk vs reward
