Talked with my SA earlier about the upcoming arrival of DONINGTON to touch Baltimore pier on 15JAN. Something he mentioned that we should all be aware of the processing of the car being disembarked from the carrier to the dealership (in my case Richmond, Va) could be up to 2 weeks. Be prepared but hopeful the window for picking up your car is much shorter. 🤞🏼

Well, my M3 finally make it to in transit on the Apollon Highway left Bremerhaven on the 10th arriving Baltimore January 25. I see it stopping in Belgium today. Anyone else on this ship?

Yo, Richmonder here also with an M3Cx on the Donington! Small world. Mine is headed to a dealership outside of Baltimore and my SA said it normally only takes a couple days for them to receive it. I have to travel a ton for work right around when it is slated to arrive so I'm not letting that stress me out.

Also, in case anyone else on the Donington didn't opt for the free trial so they could get satellite tracking, these are the current stats on our ship. ETA Tues 16 Jan at 0717 hours, not sure if that is UTC or properly adjusted to EST.

Either way I will say the ETA has been moving up quickly within the last couple days. My free trial expires on 14 Jan so chances are I will lose track of the ship somewhere off the East coast until it gets close enough to not need satellite.

Couple days sounds reasonable not a couple weeks, makes a lot more sense & here’s for hoping that holds true.

I am also from Richmond lol.. my car is on Orion Highway headed to Baltimore as well.

That is actually crazy, especially considering I have not seen one G8X in the wild (and I have been looking).

I know 5 people in Richmond who drive G8X, I think all of them are G80s with one G82, so kind of wild that 3 more are coming in on the same ship.

M3 is on Orion highway as well - live in va beach. Haven’t seen one around me

Yeah, my dealer isn’t far from port so hoping I can take delivery within January. Potentially take advantage of the $2500 TrueCar is doing with NavyFed.

I’ve only seen 2 G80’s in the Hampton Roads area, I know there are more but this car is a little more unique which is another reason I wanted one.

I signed up to keep up what you were doing but it still shows satellite tracking is locked behind a subscription. What package did you sign up for?

I did whichever one allows satellite tracking of one vessel. There’s another one that allows 30 or something, that’s the next one up. It was also irritating to figure out how to actually start tracking the one ship I was allowed to track - I had to create a fleet with just one ship in it and eventually I figured it out.

You will have to call BMW Genius (1-844-443-6487) & they can tell you which car carrier your on. You will need either your production number or VIN.

DONINGTON moored Baltimore last night, for those of us that made it safely across the long transit via the Atlantic Ocean. Next step is unloading the cars, passing through customs from the carrier and being loaded onto transport vehicles to the dealership. Congrats again all that are very lucky to have the $$$, careers, and opportunity to have an M car.
