Just ordered my set. Now I wait...

Top left is CSL tails, the other 3 are pics of mine, for comparison. Presumably, the CSL tails have a 2.7mm laser filament, while the LCi tails, have a larger, presumably 5mm filament. Larger is brighter, and may be needed to be worldwide compatible, while the CSL was only sold in 15 countries.

In person, do you like the thinner filament of the CSL or thicker of the LCI? (assuming you have seen the CSL ones in person). To the untrained eye, I doubt many would notice the difference.

I haven’t seen the CSL tails in person. Presumably they would probably look a little better, being thinner, but the $6,000 price difference, isn’t justifiable.

Skyscraper car is the only thing I have to compare them to.

I think BMW like to make things challenging .. I cant wait til you get them - Im actually ordering a set but the euro version _ just no side marker lamp - I want to do some test comparison with them side by side with the Aftermarket Replica Lights . this is going to be interesting
I found the rear lights in bimmer utility but cant test them without the actual lights to see which modules to play with so when you get yours lets see

I look at Sergio's CSL M4 took some pics of his Tail Lights to see the difference and your right the new CSl Tail lights are bigger and the original CSL Lights are thinner . I can see the change to be brighter but are they built the same meaning the same Laser Diodes - circuit boards - or totally a redesign ? Things that make you go Hmmmmmm......

Yeah, I had ordered BOTH sets and I have noticed too that those laser fibers were slightli thinner on CSLs set, BUT, there was no difference when it was turned on and I stayed with cheaper LCI ones

Ordered from Baum in Germany. Same place I ordered my 827s from. For some reason they've been in customs in New York since approximately midnight last Tuesday with no movement

I have someone waiting to get me the part numbers. They aren’t released yet as far as I know. I’m waiting on part numbers for the steering wheel, headlights, engine cover and a few other small bits.

Yep went with the Euro set for a couple of reasons. Cleaner look without the side led and amber turn signals. I saw you mentioned you're waiting for the engine cover. Did they change it up for the LCI? I must have missed that.

I seem to remember some people had lengthy delays with customs when they ordered the MPHAS via places like Baum and yet others breezed right through. Probably just luck of the draw and what shipment containers they are currently clearing. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yeah I wonder if the Baltimore port has anything to do with it too (even though it came by air I wonder if port ships are being redirected to NY and piling up on customs). My wheels flew through (well 3 out of 4 did the other took a couple of more days) I know it'll end up in my hands sooner than later so I'm not too concerned

I went to the dealership and they told same except that they can’t do anything about it and they told me that the light might affect and ruin the electricity of the vehicle and they advise me to remove it
So I don’t know

This is 100% False and I'll Tell you why , If the Tail Lights did kick in a fault code then I would be worried but it hasn't and I seen this problem with the new G20 same issue - BMW Electrical is so complicated and working on BMW "S for 10 years plus it would by now for all you guys with the New Set up should of gotten a faulty Tail Lamp error code but your not so don't get all worried . I feel sometimes these guys that work at BMW Service Dept Don't know alot of technical Stuff or Modifications .
But on the other hand they're saying to remove it because if you get any electrical issue they will blame the lights caused it and I wonder what module is he talking about ? The Flux Compositor resistance
module ?

that happens sometimes I order stuff and it sits a week at Customs and you can tell when they go through it - They're looking for that coke can na .....Seriously though just watch it - it will get released
The longest for me was 2 weeks stuck in Customs
IF I had a set I could do some testing to figure it out so let me know when you get yours
