I can lend a hand on the install since I have Jerry's on me G83. The install isn't too bad at all. The video above is pretty accurate. I elected to remove the trunk liners on each side but would probably just do what they did to pull back the rearmost portion if I do it again. The reason for that is for the trunk release cable (it gave me fits on my install trying to get it off). The trunk portion is super easy the liner is only held in by the push pins and drops right off once all are removed. from there it's 8mm nuts all around 3 for each side light and 1 for each trunk light. it helps to have a long extension and I found a magnetic tool useful for the forward most side light nut. I basically loosened the nut up completely but then used the magnet tool to finish removing and then reinstall the nut on the threaded shaft
magnet tool similar to this https://www.amazon.com/SE-8036TM-NEW.../dp/B000RB3XBA
the bolt i'm talking about

Thanks for the post. I do remember watching this and wondering about this one in the video that was posted. It looks tricky and you definitely don’t want to drop this one. You may as well order a new nut.

I just use a scotch tape or better that painter's tape to stick a nut to the tool and when it is done it is easy to pull it back.

Did you needed to change anything in the electrics or code?

After plug and play didn't work my dealer told me that coding should be enough but now they called me they need to change the wiring...

I mean the lamps glows great but start and closing ceremony is like strobo blinking..

Are these the real LCi lamps, or the knock off tail lights from China?

Nah, OEM from my BMW dealer. I ordered CSL ones and LCI too to compare them. Same behaviour. Anyone needed to code or change anything in wiring?

Can you tell me or send a video how they work? I installed plug and play at the dealer's and they work fine but when they start or go off, they blink fast instead of CSL ceremony.. Did you guys code anything after changing that tail lights or any extra wiring?

No, mine are still on Fedex truck. Im wondering if you ordered the wrong part numbers? There are at least 3 different part numbers. Left hand drive, US. Left hand drive EU, right hand drive UK/ Japan. I'm pretty sure Skyscraper installed his CSL tails, and they were plug and play?

I ordered right LCI ones EURO LHD as well as CSL same euro LHD.

Both work same. No opening and closing ceremony - just fast blinking instead. No errors, light work normally after that. (That is after only plugging it in, that is why I am asking is any coding needed or wiring changes hmm.) Dealer is doing it for the first time so they send question to BMW.

I can only speak for the American cars. I don't know of any coding needed. thatguyM4 is a taillight wiring wizard. Maybe he can answer.

Yeah thanks, maybe one of those guys will share anything. If it worked just like that or was any coding? AFAIK there are onli differences in blinkers and side markers but I am talking about overall working of lamp opening ceremony, so let's see

I started to read the post so BMW is saying you need additional wiring ? and how are you getting the fast blinking is it to the front or both ?
Anyways fast blinking means someone tried coding it , when you plug it in the turn and brakes are the same to separate the turn signal from the brake if it aint a G83 then you will need the additional wiring to the BDC Port the coding is simple to do . if you want to add the fog lamps you can as well but will need the euro fog switch so Im wondering is Poland like the USA Models ?
and if Im right BMW is going to say you need a whole new wire harness which you dont need just 2 wires to the BDC Port and simple coding - If the light wo[rk weird like one side delay turning on or off with or without the remote I cant speak for the OEM but in the aftermarket world its the Lights itself I found and the batch they came from .....

Bro, you're the first one in the US to have them. You tell us!!

Mine are on the Fedex Truck, coming across the country. They shipped out the day before yesterday, and then I got a notification the label was unreadable, and was going to be changed.

The package sat for like 13 hours, and still hasn't left Chicago. The tracking says Monday delivery for me. So, thats what your extra few hundred $$ gets you.

Here's a link to the short video of my lights.
Now keep in mind these are Jerry's CSL replicas on my G83 and I did the coding to separate the brake and turn signals.
https://photos.app.goo.gl/QcX37HHL7hRhxJky9

I might have something in store for you guys soon, if DHL can get my package to me

They don’t need to be coded unless you want them to work like yocubed lights. The turn signals and brake lights are separated in the Euro spec tails, just like his video. If you just plug the LCi lights in, they work, they just have the brake lights and turn signals integrated, which is how the M4 CSL works in the US. If you code them, you need to add the wire from the passenger side kick panel, all the way into the trunk. The G83, convertible, for some reason, already has the wiring.

I more so want to get them coded to get the opening sequence - as well as figuring out if I can delete the us spec corner light. EU looks much better.

I don’t know that there is an opening sequence. There is one on the china lights, but I don’t recall them on the OEM lights. You’re adding the wire and coding for the turn signal and brake light separation. Problem is, when you software update, you have to recode.
