Thanks for posting.
I will give my 2 cents here, I have a hard time enjoying is reviews here is what stood out quickly, - He's happy the car doesn't come with large front tires. Humm I think it's more of an accomplishment from BMW engineering that those 275 don't tramline and not the size in particular.. I don't know of many car that have such large front tires actually. - They whine about the "track" seats for dailying chores Sorry Mat but I'm 6feet 220lbs and my balls don't reach the hump, maybe you got some weight to shed - They complain about the tachometer and did not even bother to put the car in M mode... - The big guy gives no space to the little one who seems much more knowledgeable and as a smoother critical/analytic approach. I would love a full review from the small guy.

I remember watching a review of him were he was wiggling the steering wheel on a track for no good reason and the instructor/pro driver was like: "What the Hell are your doing ? Stop that !" Since is branding of "one take" he could not cut is out of the video. Wich was a shame for him :

Having Zack with him just emphasizes how annoying and amateur he really is.

We finally get acknowledgement of the obvious re: his last review; he drove it in poor conditions and barely pushed it, tacitly saying that this is the real review.
Matt seemingly lets his feelings about the car's design bias his view of the car. He spent his entire segment behind the wheel praising the way the car drives in practically every respect (power, handling, braking, steering, transmission), then a few minutes removed from his drive, rattles off a pre-baked "BMWs are getting too big" opinion and concludes that the G8x still has problems ... but when his sidekick asks him for details, all he talks about are the looks again. His live reactions while piloting the car tell you everything you need to know about the car's true merits as a sport driving machine. |

Most over-rated You-tuber, count me in as another who never cared for his reviews and this has noting to do with the G8X.

In all, I find Matt's reviews to be a hit and miss. He gets some things right and other times as it's been said, the bias unfortunately colors his review of the cars he's driven. |

As far as I know, C&D does not have oversight of R&T. They are simply sister publications under Hearst Magazines.

I am not, my new car is arriving in a couple of weeks. I’ve been a long time car enthusiast of many brands, and particularly of ///M cars and have been lucky enough to own several over the last 20 years. The cons of the G8X outweigh the pros for me, hence why I am moving to something else, but I am still passionate about the brand.

I think what bugs me most about the reviews is his lack of research. This video is an example: he doesn't know you can change the gauge. His original video on this car had them in spades - one of my favorite was saying the car was overpriced "and mine is a stripper" when the car had the CCBs and Exterior Carbon Package adding a smooth 13k to the price tag. |
