Before I bow out, I apologise to the 'pack' if my command of the English language brought about an overwhelming and overriding sense of insecurity/deficiency, so much so that you felt the need to react in the manner in which you all have. All of this because I have an opinion that differs to your own. Seriously, grow up. What kind of boring world do you want to live in; if everyone had the same opinions.

Good day.
Do you even bother reading ? I clearly stated my example was 6MT to 6MT

And BTW, I am not a fan of the G8X, but I remain objective regarding the data and facts.

You should indeed bow out before you dig yourself too deep. But hey, if you want to live in a dream world where the F8X has better power-to-weight than the G8X, it’s all up to you

You insist a lot on the “wet pavement”. If you look at the actual race, the F82 launched in an area that was pretty dry.

Even if perfectly dry, it's still 0.5 seconds quicker than last time with clear evidence of a tune.

What about better tires?

Maybe I'm ignorant but isn't the fact that it burbles proof that there is a tune, and now we're just kinda trusting that it isn't adding power?

Maybe. Have info on that?

Occam's razor is that it's the tune.

Confirmed running PZero in the latest run.

He had Michelin on his car around the time he participated in the first 12.5 second race (second slide).

Not betting on tires being the factor that subtracted a whole 0.5 sec off his time.

That this car has a tune to make more power is not out of the equation, but my point is that a 12.0 is quite possible even on a stock 425hp non-CP tune for an F82. Grippier tires than the shitty stock PSS can also quite significantly improve 1/4 mile ET by several tenths. The F82 launched pretty well in that video. In the 12.5 video, not so well (not even sure he used launch control). Those are all contributing factors.

Makes sense. We'll never know (and I'm getting a stick in my G80 which shows you how much I car about straight line speed) but it kinda seems natural to me that if we already know the car is tuned that the tune is responsible for the abnormally good time.

Doesn't really matter in the end though because anyone going to Carwow for objective testing is crazy.

If you want smoothness, go buy a 335d/340i. Smooth should never be used to describe an M car.

The thing is with ZF is that it inherently restricts the cars performance. Due to oil cavitation you simply car spin the torque converter gearbox as fast as DTC, ZF hates high RPM. Which is why the S58 doesn't Rev as high as the S55. It also hates being banged off the redline and then told to upshift, there's that awful up change delay.

I'm sorry but ZF being in this car is not because 'we had to make it work X Drive' but because they couldn't be bothered and it cost money to keep making it.

Price of the car has gone up, quality of the product has gone down. G80 is essentially a M340i plus, I'm sorry to say
Lol I'll gap you off the line, through a corner, and from a roll.

It's a better car than the f80.

It would have been even better with a DCT...

My m2c was a 6speed.

This is the only car I've ever had in auto and it's fun for now.

I'll 100% be purchasing whatever the special edition g87 m2 is in a 6mt

I'm sure it would have been. It would have also been better with a lighter v8, a different front end, and a blowjob machine but it is what it is.

Hi, I'm new to the forum, I'm from Spain in the province of Alicante
I have for 3 years the bmw m4 f82 DKG yas marine
I have been in the Jarama circuit in Madrid and tried the M g82
and slower shifting, worse cornering, the g82 is thinner but doesn't feel sporty
