By the way, does anyone know if week 27 is the first week for the 2022 model year builds for the G80? Week 27 is slated for July 5-12. This is rather early for the 3 series on the next model year.

You guy's in the US can see the progress of your builds. Here in AU, there doesn't seem to be a way of tracking it..

My dealer said my order is a week 28 build so I called BMW Genius to confirm and the rep over the phone said that his system shows a start of week 27 and a finish of week 31. Not sure how that works but it appears he doesn't know how to find the actual production week. What do you guys usually look for?

I believe that it is the start of production week that it would refer to. So, it sounds like you are a week 27 production/build. This means your car starts production sometime in July 5-12.

Update: I called again as I believe I was being transferred from the Genius line to standard BMW NA customer service based on the options I was pressing... This time I called the Genius no. and stayed on the line to talk with a Genius rep. He said my dealership requested production week 27 but the system shows that it is currently expected in week 31 He said while this is not 100% confirmed, it's usually a fairly accurate indication. Those extra 3 weeks are going to hurt

I'll reach out to my CA and ask him to check and get back to me.

This morning my BMW site showed a change to "Scheduled for Production" so I called Genius and they say I'm now in week #27

Yep

But I don't know what I expected. It says 2-12 week delay compared to a normal order. Still holding out hope for week 27 though.

Sweet! My spec includes all the above except for 826M bi-color.

But I have a few more packages & options, and of course it's a Comp AWD.

I do despise how I can't get things like M stripe seatbelts - I just wanted stick, not like I couldn't get a comp. feels like they discourage from getting the base.

On the good side. I am confirmed with my individual color order. On the downside I am now at Order status 102 where I was at order status 112. I've been verbally told that they are going to re-allocate my place in the build week but that I am most likely not going to be build week 27 any longer.

BMW car tracking website also has been updated to reflect that I have a special order paint. So I'm at least happy that I was finally sorted out since I was having some difficulty getting everything taken care of. I'll stay somewhat optimistic and hang out and subscribe to this thread until I find out that I am definitively not in build week 27 any longer.

Very excited to have voodoo blue as an approved color with a Fiona red interior. Should be very distinctive. :-)
