Anyone regret getting Kyalami Orange interior?
I am about to specs my M4, and I decided to go for Brooklyn Gray/Kyalami Orange combo (without the leather dash/full color). But now I am having second thoughts, I am afraid that it is going to be too bright and that I am going to hate it after some time? Any thoughts from the owners of KO? Does it get boring? Is it too difficult to maintain? Is it too bright when you are sitting inside of a car?

I did do a leather treatment and it did make the color richer for me. Since I don't have a sunroof I appreciate the brighter color inside and I don't think it's too bright. It really livens it up! If your getting the buckets those are even better in my opinion. The orange and carbon are just to die for in my opinion but I opted for the regular seats due to various reasons and I am happy with them. Good luck! |

It's very much a personal preference of course and I can see why some would like it, but orange is too "loud" for me. If you have concerns about orange, Tartufo might be an option you could consider, this is what I ordered with mine. That said, I haven't yet received it so can't comment on how it looks in person, but likely better than orange for "my" taste.

I thought it was very "orange-y" when I saw Dravit over Kyalami in person. I didn't dislike it though and I thought it was very flashy. Since my G80 would be my DD and have to drive my boss and clients around...I going with the more "tame" Tartufo.

Going Dravit over Tartufo? If so, lovely. I was considering since it would have been similar to my M340i with Dravit over Cognac.

DG/KO here.
I was a bit worried myself but it is awesome and loads of people have commented on the interior being amazing. I don't notice it when driving either since I don't have the full leather which I think might be a bit much |

I am actually considering TB II or Skyscraper Grey over Tartufo. Though, Dravit is another great choice.

I know OP is asking about regrets but I'll give my thoughts on upcoming order. I think it depends on the exterior. If you want loud/loud you get something like the IOMG/KO combo but if you want a less flashy exterior and still a sporty look, KO is a great option.
I want a unique but subdued exterior so I'm going Dravit. The black interior is really really fantastic but that's just a dull combo. From everything I've seen, KO is a nice sport complement to the more everyday exteriors so that's what I'm doing, and in CFBs to add more black to the look. If fiona red had the same black alcantara inserts and shoulders, I'd do that. |

Been agonizing over this question for weeks now. Ordering Verde Ermes for the outside of the G82, that is 100%.
The inside, well that's the hard part. I sat in a G80 with KO and loved it, my wife however is not sure. I have always had black internals, so I do not want that again, and Tartufo I am not sure of till I actually saw it. The Verde Ermes is a really special color which really pops and I think it needs something to carry it through to the inside. In AUS you can only get the full leather on the COMP version of the G82 so the KO would be on the dash as well. That is my only area of concern as I love it on the seats and armrest. I personally think it will look amazing, just need to have the courage to proceed. My dealer has emailed BMW to see if a special order can be arranged as the paint color is an individual order already. |

Mine arrives in August with KO carbon buckets. I ordered that spec before seeing them in person/sitting in them.
Got the chance to do that last month and they are incredible. No shot I'll be regretting the KO. On the contrary, I have 100% certainty that I would regret it if I chose to play it safe and go with black. Personal preference. |

Wow, thanks for the reply guys! I have never had a car with a light colorful interior, so my concern was whether it causes eye fatigue when driving, but I guess it is not. I have literally spent months thinking about colors, seen almost all colors in person and finally I will go with the BG/KO. Can't wait to get it!

I was going to get the silverstone. I found 1 car in stock and it had the KO that I never considered...
I got the car and I am gald I went to see it in person as I would now spec it again. I have the full KO and it dosnt get too much at all. I had this image of constant orange in my vision but its not like that at all. Its kind of wierd, I have saphire black which is a bit more down played colour, but the KO makes it feel very special. If its a colour you like (because its all subjective) just get it :-). I may swap for the tourer when it comes out and would get broklyn gray / Ko myself now :-) so good choice in my book. PS. I have the carbon seats, and they look epic in KO! Last edited by snarkeygolbin; 06-09-2021 at 06:23 AM.. Reason: addition |

Went with the full KO interior, and I have no regrets at all. It looks so good with the rest of my car being completely black, the contrast really makes it pop. I've received nothing but compliments from everyone that's been in it about the orange.
Orange is also my favorite color, so it's certainly a subjective thing if you can deal with that much orange in your face.
