I'm confused, I just put a deposit down for a 24' M3Cx (May Build) - is this the LCI?

I did some searching on the forum and can't figure out if this is the LCI.

I think my dealer told me it was the LCI for the M3 but the M4 LCI would be 2025.

Can anyone fill me in?

A May build on a G80 would be pre-LCI -- a 2024 MY build

There's no lci for the m3, just the m4 which is a 2025 model year.
The 2023 m3 got idrive 8 but that's not considered lci.

So no changes for the 2025 M3? They offered me a 25 M4 but they said it would be end of year delivery. I like the M3 more though.

If you want the lci then yes this will be too soon. This is all available on the forum to search.

The G80 is going to be getting updated angel eye matrix lights and steering wheel/interior refresh just as the g82 is.

The 2025 MY g82 lci started production already I believe in March. Some have been hitting YouTube already.

The 2025 MY g80 lci will start production around July. I would not want a May build month car personally unless you want to keep the lasers. But waiting two more months gets you the updated car.

The MY25 LCI M3 will begin with July production. It’ll have the same changes as the M4 LCI (minus the tail lights).

Did they give you an allocation / production #? Make sure you get that - or at least a sense for how long the waiting list for an allocation is.

Based on how quickly I was able to get a '25 M4 allocation, I don't see why you'd have to wait until EOY for delivery... I got one in March and will likely take delivery by June at the latest.

Congrats, what spec?

Should have the production number next week. They're telling me approximately an August delivery for the M4 LCI.

Another dealer quoted M3 end of year and this same one told me a little earlier but the M4 is definitely the faster option. I like both of them so I'm good with either. M4 will be easier to get in and out of with the buckets.
