I’ve been looking for awhile. As another poster pointed out, hardly any CPOs nation wide and an even smaller pool for non comp manuals. I found 2 close by, could tell the first one wasn’t taken care of by an enthusiast. Late by nearly 1k miles on the m break in service, but otherwise a nice car in good shape. Left enough doubt in my head and the dealer was annoying to work with as well.
Currently debating a 21’ with 14xxx miles. Carbon pkg , executive pkg, black wheels. Only issue is it’s SPY paint. I dig it, my wife doesn’t and I am thinking it may draw too much attention. The car was flawless though.. service records perfect oil changed right at 5k miles each time etc. Paint and interior are pristine. I have found zero blemishes when scouring over the car for awhile. I can tell this car is pampered. So with the limited nation wide inventory with my ocd level I’m really contemplating the car even though it’s not my top paint choice . I think I could get it for a solid price. My final option is to get in line for a 25.. it will easily be 10-15k more.. I can afford that, but it’s a bit more than I want spend for a “toy” car. I would have piece of mind from day 1 though. 4 years of warranty and ability to spec if exactly how I want. I’m sure the wait will be around 9-10 months. Decisions.. |

I've always bought low miles used but with the current market prices and rates, I'd prefer New for the M3 just because I know I'll be keeping atleast 4 years. |

I would be giving the car away, at that point. The dealer plugs the VIN into the trade in page, and it spits out the number. I have at least another $20k in OEM catalog accessories on the car. All of the carbon is OEM, as are the $7,000 wheel and tires. They just sold an M2. Not even an M4. with the same amount of options, for $115k. I have about $140k in mine. OEM CSL taillights are on the fedex truck as we speak.

Throwing 30k cash down on used and financing the rest not sure I’d get the money out of it I’d like to 3-4 years down the road. I’m military and just found out about the military bmw discount rebate which will help. The car I’ve spec’d is about 81k so any rebate (cca , mil) will help the cause vs buying used. I may still pull the trigger as the discount at least on the one I’ve found is significant enough vs buying new. All due to color I think. |

It would have been nice to get all of that on the window sticker. When I ordered the car in 2021, none of that was known, either. And the suspension springs weren’t even out yet. But I’m having a good time for sure. I just drove it yesterday. Still looks and smells brand new inside. That full merino is like putting an Italian leather jacket on every time you sit in it.

I almost skipped it. But I went with my gut about checking every box. And the car is well capable, stock, with just the M Drivers Package. Pesky speed governor gone.

I’ve posted this elsewhere but,
I was going to get a new 2024. Last August, I came across my manual 2022 which was spec’ed how I would except for exterior color (I like the PB, but I was going individual). Car had 1300 miles, CPO, maintenances package, tint, ppf (I added more) and M Perf carbon front spoiler. Original MSRP was about $84k. I paid $81k including dealers fees, tax, lic. Same new 2024 MSRP would be about $92-93. I would think even better deals would be available now? |
