I just recently purchased my new BMW M3 and I was wondering what is the best sounding mid pipe for the car looking for a deep tone. Thanks!

IMO the more expensive ones aren't worth it. You get some great sounds from the cheaper options. MAD or AA Unresonated Single midpipe (if you're only changing the midpipe) is going to be the best options for the price IMO.

If you're thinking of doing anything more (downpipes/axleback), get a resonated midpipe.

The best design, in my opinion, is the single midpipe. It offers a rasp-free sound with a deep midrange.

For the cleanest sound, get the resonated single

The price of the MAD pipe makes it the choice I would go with. Fit and finish is top notch and the sound is amazing.

Another vote for MAD single. Plenty of deep sound with valve controller and sport plus mode.

I’ve got a lot of buddies with G80’s and i always get asked what my exhaust set up is - PSI mid pipe for the win. Only down side is the 15 second cold start

Is the cold start "wake the neighborhood" kind of loud?

I really would like to try the Akrapovik long resonated mid pipe, but cannot tell if it works with the remainder of the stock exhaust.

No absolutely not - if you put it into sport plus then yes.

Ah okay thanks. I thought that's what you meant by the only downside was the 15 seconds of cold start.

Akrapovic midpipes are designed to work with Akrapovic exhausts, they will not line up with OEM exhaust.
