Thanks for the discussion.
The irony of this comment is off the charts. Try and be a bit more open-minded about what information you consume. Don't believe everything you read on the Internet without applying some critical thinking skills first. There's plenty of information out there and engineering descriptions about how stopping power is improved. You're arguing with facts and science.

Not getting CCBs and a custom color are my two g80 regrets, so I get this post. I'll probably try to swap pads to the IS2000 soon to get some relief from the dust.

One of my cyber m3 buddies has them. They dust a little less than the oem compound, but the benefit is the compound comes off with a pressure washer with ceramic coating.

They making clunking sounds though =\ I suggested some brake quiet stuff that I use when I swap pads. He hasn’t had the chance yet but if it cures that then it’s a great option.

I have IS1500s and no clunking at all.

Did you use something like this product or just the shims? I’ve always used this product between the pistons, pads and shim. It glues them in place.

As far as I know it was just the shims, but I had a local shop do it for me. I'm sure they had some secret method to installing it correctly. :P
