Unfortunately it’s looking dicey at best. I’ve been going through this since week 19

When one week gets delayed it effects the next and so forth, like clockwork

But fingers crossed you get them. That would mean earlier delayed builds, get pushed back up.

Until you hit status 150 it’s a very fluid situation

Your guess is good as mine . I’m glad he did but it may be a one off thing.

His build is fairly loaded , near identical to mine - DAP & IoMG

They, at the factory, have time off coming up and therefore I’m sure the bucket makers have off. Delays, as mentioned when ordering. Popular option for those that want it, so, it was bound to happen.

Sucks that you gotta deal with the delays, though.

So I think that I actually got moved to build week 29! I got hooked up with an allocation in 112 status for week 30, but now that the order has gone from Priority Stock to Customer Sold, build week has changed from 30 to 29.

I read in the sticky that week 29 means that your car is supposed to be COMPLETED that week. Does that mean it would enter production either late next week or beginning of the following and get a VIN?

This is still crazy pants to me, my last custom order being a 2023 Cayenne which was a complete disaster of a build process.

^^I think they’re moving right on for those with allocations/sold units, before their break. Mine went into exterior body assembly begins, though, I’m not sure of the exact day. I don’t check that often, but, my ‘production date’ is July 12th. Production week was 16th-22nd, so, no clue which week I’m in any more. Still excited, though.

When is the break? And did it show in your tracker or did you have to call the genius line?

Not sure if you got your question answered, but you should get your VIN about 5-14 days before your build week from what the BWM Genius told me.

Your build week is when your vehicle should be completed, as you said, so you should receive the VIN before it’s completely built.

I’m Week 30, so they told me I could get a VIN anytime next week, but no later than July 18th. Because of the carbon bucket situation, I said “What if I don’t get a VIN by then?” and they said to call because your build was likely postponed.

This is what I was told from one Genius so I can’t comment how knowledgeable they were.

Finally back home, and checked mygarage using my computer/chome/etc.

I think buckets were delayed until October, from a post I read earlier (https://g80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=2029806). In addition, the factory break will contribute to that delay, as I think it's a month off, or something to that effect.

For my build, it's in Status 151, so, I'm not sure I'm build week 29 any more. All I know is the 'Production Date' is 7/12/23. And I don't have the buckets optioned, which is more than likely why most that have opted for those have been delayed. That's my guess, any way.

I think that was my post. That’s what the BWM Genius told me. Fingers crossed for you. I hope you get buckets which will then improve my odds. Win win! lol

The odds are stacked against us bucket orders, but some are getting filled. A few members posted recently of theirs getting to 150 status. The bucket option is no longer available for those who didn’t already have an allocation with it optioned on though.

The chances aren’t great, but we’re banning together for support. lol

I think the production start dates have been consistently on Mondays, week after week.
