Another week 29 checking in. Currently BSM/Fiona M3 Comp RWD but changing it to Portimao/Fiona X Drive. Scheduled for production as of a couple days ago.

Just checked in the app, and my status has changed to ‘150 - Production Begins’ which is exciting! And the VIN # is present, as well.

Congrats! I am week 28 and am still in 112. It changed to 111 a couple of days ago, and now back to 112. CA confirmed Week 28 on his end still... Question... Do you have Carbon Buckets?

Thanks! And sadly, no. I loved the look and they were comfortable during my test drive, but, with limited garage space (single bay) it would have been a pain for me to get in/out of them without scratching the door edges. So, I chose the regular seats with full leather.

Which app are you checking for production status? I wasn't aware the MyBMW app can add vehicles before a VIN# is generated, unless I'm just not seeing the option?

You can’t until you get the VIN. You’re correct (unless there’s something I’m missing too. lol)

I’m in 111 status and have to constantly use the MyGarage site on my phone, which is getting old. lol

Super jealous! Yeah I'm using the MyGarage console response code stuff to get status...it'll get annoying quick! I should just stop checking lol.

I check every 5-7 days, as I figure the process will take some time. It’s exciting as this is my first BMW ever. Both my brothers and my nephew have one/have owned one, and they are the ones responsible for making me choose to get a bimmer! Haha. And I’d always thought I’d get an M3 if I were to get a BMW, so, this was the time to make the move. Mostly since manuals will be phased out, soon enough.

Aww yeah build updated to portimao x drive. This will be my 3rd M3, previously had an E92 and a G80 manual. I chickened out on black since I already have another black vehicle to maintain, my son was adamant we go with blue

Nice! Congrats on the blue! I was seriously wanting the Carbon Black, but to maintain another black car was makin’ me squirrely!

I dunno what week I am any more, and I don’t care to call the geniuses, haha! It’ll get here when it does, and then, I’ll be taking a lengthy drive to the dealership, and back. How I get there, no idea yet, but I hope to be comin’ back in a g80!

I must have also gotten moved up a couple build weeks... just checked this morning and I have a VIN and its moved to production begins!

“Production begins” for mine and I have a VIN. Getting an error while trying to add the VIN to the BMW app though. I was supposedly Week 29 per BMW Genius but I guess I’ve been moved up.

“Production begins” at 10am today. Build will be complete July 19th per the Genius.

I’ll post what I just did in the Week 30 build thread:

“Alright, Week 30-ers:

According to the BWM Genius I spoke to about an hour ago, if you don’t have a VIN posted on your MyGarage site by July 18th, you’re likely going to be delayed.

I don’t know who to believe anymore when I call them, but I figured I’d pass along the information.”

If this is accurate, you should probably see a VIN by the 11th.

3 posts above you all have VIN’s & I’m assuming none have buckets

For what it’s worth on Monday I got delayed from Week 29 to now 37

Not looking good for anyone else with upcoming build weeks
