Congrats buddy (former Croatian test driver here ), great color choice!

Do you already have some mods in mind? Not that it needs much, but maybe a drop, spacers or powder coat the wheels in a lighter color ()?
I know who you are Always wondered why the name change? Did you get into trouble with Jason and the BP police???

I'm likely all talk about mods, aside from my $2 vinyl wrap front reflector delete lol, and door projector lights. I may explore spacers, and I was considering springs (AST), but it actually might be too low for my taste, and I don't want to compromise on the ride or have any noise. But who knows…

As for the wheels, you know I'm still a big silver, machine, or graphite wheel finish kinda guy, but I just wasn't into the 825Ms this go around.

Haha, it had nothing to do with the BP police. I just thought I'd pick a shorter name.

I agree regarding the compromise on the ride. Comfort shouldn't be sacrificed too much, especially if it's your daily. I usually prefer OEM and don't mod a lot, but just the height of some M cars might make me consider it (if I get a G8x).

I wouldn't mind the 825M bi-color, but purely from a design standpoint, I'd slightly prefer the 826M. Except they are just too dark for me, even the bi-color version. That's why I would probably choose the 826M as well and powder coat them in a bit lighter finish, I think that would look great. But don't get me wrong, your car looks already awesome the way it is.

Anyone with photos of Tanzanite Blue with Fjord Blue interior? I love blue but trying to think if the combination doesn't work and end up too blue. Thanks!

I finally joined the club. TBII is a killer color. I get a big smile on my face every time I jump in.

Picked it up through the Performance Center Delivery and it was a spectacular experience. I highly recommend it to anyone considering it. I wish I could relive the experience again.

Then drove through a small part of Blue Ridge Parkway to Asheville and back to the NJ. Funny that the car departed in NJ port and was transported down to SC only to be driven back to NJ. Only 150 miles left till break in!

Beautiful!

Guys who've had the car a while and did not put ppf, how is the paint holding up? Does it scratch and chip easily?

I picked the car up yesterday (PPF scheduled for April 21) drove it for around 35 miles because I just couldn't resist, came home, and promptly noticed 3-4 rock chips. Looks like shes gonna be a garage queen for the next couple weeks.

Yes, it does. PPF at least the front, if you can. Otherwise, that bumper and hood are going to take a serious beating, especially if you live in an area where there's a lot of either road or even building construction (so roads traveled by dump trucks and such).

Just adds to the widespread appetite-whetting that this thread continues to provide: will be picking up my M3, all being well, first week of May.

I occasionally second-guess my decision to spec TBII when I start wondering whether I should have opted for San Marino as a change (I have Tanz already on my current 40i). But pics like yours remind me that I'm not missing anything in terms of how it looks on the G8x; and that actually Tanz is more dynamic than the more one-dimensionally purply hue of SMB, not least when the sun hits it!

As that last photo attests, Fjord Blue works with TB II -- good eye! The paint is sufficiently dynamic in direct sunlight to pick up the lighter blue hue of the upholstery color.

Unfortunately, no photos, but I will say, from seeing real-life photos of Fjord blue, on the BMW website/configurator it looks much more navy/dark (almost like Tanzanite), but in the photos I've seen, it is actually a much lighter/brighter blue.

EDIT: Just saw the above photos, and I do think it works! Even if there is a difference in the shades of blue. It is not too contradictory.
