Status 111 individual color change

I am currently in status 111 for a Tanzanite M3cx and had a massive change of heart and would like to switch to Dravit Grey (damn picture thread changed my mind lol). Given that these are both "individual" colors, would the color swap be approved? I'll reach out to my CA first thing in the morning but just wanted to see if anyone has had first hand experience with swapping out these "individual colors" while in status 111.

I believe Dravit is more like semi-individual and does not need approval to be ordered. You should be ok.

Yes it's fine. Might push your build time a bit but these "standard" "individual" options confuse me.

My Ivory interior and resulted in me going from 112 status back to 111. You're fine.

So long as you are in 111 or 112 status, you’ll have no issues with the color changed. It won’t need to be approved by BMW since Dravit is already on the list as one of the semi-individual pre-approved paints. I’d even say it may not even result in a production delay at this point since you are still in an order received status but there is always the chance that it could bump you back a week or two.

You're good, nothing has to happen other than your advisor clicking a few buttons.

I made the same changes! I went from Tanzanite Blue to Dravit Grey and it changed my build week from 37 to 41 but then I added M Carbon Buckets and removed the Carbon exterior package and went to week 38 and scheduled for production (completion) on September 19. It’s so random you can get pushed back a few weeks, stay the same or even get bump up who knows but you can definitely change it and I would; Dravit is a better overall color compared to tanzanite.

I appreciate all the info from you guys. My CA is gonna get with the sales manager to submit the change first thing tomorrow. Fingers crossed that I don't just all of a sudden go into status 150 lol.

I really like tanzanite blue, but I think it's just a little too dark and muddy of a blue and won't pop as nice against gloss black/carbon fiber accents. My current F82 M4 is mineral grey metallic, and my 335i before it was sparkling graphite metallic. I guess grey is just my "safe" color lmao.

Make sure you've seen Dravit in dim lighting if you think Tanzanite is "muddy" and dark. Dravit looks great when in full light with the gold flakes shining through. In dim lighting, I find it to be very muddy, dull and brown looking. I may be biased though because I just ordered Tanzanite over Kayalmi full leather yesterday.

Dravit has a very pronounced change. In dim lighting, I don’t find it to be muddy or dull. Almost looks like Brooklyn Gray or even Porsche’s Chalk. A very interesting color.

Tanzanite suffers from the same fate as my wife’s Moonlight Blue Cayenne…it just takes a ton of light to look blue. Very pretty, but trends black often.

That’s the reason I didn’t stick with Tanzanite blue, it just didn’t have that wow factor and it only popped in the sun! With Dravit it’s like a different shade every angle plus I had Brooklyn grey before and it was too light of a color for me even though with all the Carbon fiber parts it was sick! But yeah I’m putting all CF parts on my g80 and it was very hard to see them on tanzanite blue call the dealership around your area and ask to see the colors if you haven’t already so that you can make a more formal choice. But Dravit Grey is beautiful!

Don’t worry, you won’t go from 111 to 150 that quickly. You’ll be in 112 status for at least two weeks before going to 150 status.
