Then you should be negotiating and getting 9k off of msrp. Any dealer that says they won't go under msrp, laugh in their face and go to the next dealer. What color are you getting?

Will be interesting to see if there is a second round of ADM/MSRP sales for the AWD models as they launch. It is expected they will be a separate allocation from RWD like the series cars so another few months of scarcity and high demand as the initial interest levels off. My exp in the boston area back in Oct was dealers with committed AWD slots and deposits so i bailed into an M340 to wait it out till LCI

What kind of discounts are people getting on their M3 competitions? My dealer is only giving me 4k off (I'm a FREQUENT flyer). What is everyone else getting?

I assume at some point (maybe not for G80?) the M3 residuals/incentives will align with G20 3 series like it did with F80/F30...does anyone remember when that happened for F80? A few months after launch? Years after launch?

The G80 comp M3 has defineltly been growing on me. Would like to be able to drive one before making any decision. If i do sell my 2018 F80 6 speed comp im pretty sure i can get low 60s as it would be the lowest mileage car up for sale with just 3600 miles on her. My buy out at the end of my lease is 45k. But i wouldnt lease a new M3 for less than 6% off msrp. My payment on my 73k msrp F80 comp is 719. I got 3000 lease cash 6% off msrp and 500 USAA member discount. I paid tax, acquistion, and doc and reg fees upfront.

I think your lease payment on the G80 is going to be significantly higher - mostly because dealers are going to want MSRP in the early days and... do you really want to have a first year car?

I am right with you - 2018 6MT m3 (non-comp). I drive a lot (pre-covid) and have 15k per year lease at around $800 but I just ticked over 30k miles total (due to covid) and September is turn in...I have had offers $2-3k over the lease buyout by the usual suspects (vroom, carvana, etc.) but cannot pull the trigger on anything yet. Mine was a super low option car MSRP around $70k, offers are around $50k right now. Thought hard about getting one of the last m2 comps, even harder about getting X3M...but I am holding out hope that incentives improve for G80 by summer so i can still sell and pick up some cash and get the upgrade to G80 (will again go low-option base model...probably just a color as only option).

oh i would definitely expect it to be higher than my F80 just because if it got a G80 it would have a higher msrp. but i wouldnt pay any more than high 800s for it. anything more and i would just keep my F80.

You've got no chance getting $800 without something like military discounts etc this year I doubt. Maybe a stripper model with 0 options.

have people been successfully getting discounts off MSRP? I know there have been a few cases on the forums here but just trying to get a sense of how hard I should be negotiating for the M3 comp (northeast market if it matters)

With my spec I'll be lucky if it's under $1400. Fingers crossed for you, not that ending up with a GT3 will be a bad thing

Not possible to get an 800-900 lease payment on this car with current available discounts and no lease money down.

You guys are focusing on the wrong thing if you're just looking at the monthly payment. First negotiate the purchase price (off MSRP), then review the lease terms. If your dealership is honest, they'll use the BMWFS rates and the numbers are what they are. Don't get hooked into monthly payments; the sales guys love that!
