Unfortunately for us, we can thank the government for that. I looked at reordering my car for 2025, and plugged my MSRP into the inflation calculator. BMW is actually much lower than what the car could be, if BMW was following the economy. But, its still waaay too high for me to reorder. Especially since the BMW dealers have offered me $70k for my car. Inflation is much higher than BMW has raised their prices. I have every option, CCBs included, minus buckets. Add another $3500 for an individual color, since Dravit is now $1,000 down from $1,950 in 2021. I would reorder Fashion Gray for $4,500, making the MSRP $118,685. Still cheaper than $123,686 the economy has risen.

Color is incredible. Putting it on my list for next time.

$8k performance exhaust … is it worth it?

Op, great car...definitely go for the MPHAS drop. Limegrntaln you're right on the inflation front. My 24 stickered at 96.6k (would be 97.99 today post-July hike). If we go back to 2011 (end of e92 run), a loaded car was 70-71 with no MP options. It's the same. The cars really aren't any more expense. Our dollars just aren't worth anything. Don't expect much improvement there.

The past two years have been spent poking around online trying to find the perfect one and I eventually settled on wanting a Techno Violet G80. As they are few and far between the search extended longer than I wanted.

Fast forward to last week, I brought my X3MC in to the dealer to get the window replaced and I couldn't believe my eyes of what I saw sitting on the showpad out front. Some crazy blue M3. When I got out to look at it I saw it had the Tartufo interior and I was sold. The color is Blue Bay Lagoon. The next day, I returned my loaner car, and left with my new M3

Apparently this was a custom build for a customer out in Colorado and they backed out. The car got sold to a dealer in Dallas so it would move faster. I'm at a loss for words on just how lucky I feel randomly finding this, as besides for the MPE exhaust, it's exactly how I would have spec'd a custom build out myself. At a whopping $115k sticker price, it has almost every option you could select. The full leather interior is not something I would have selected on my own as I was unaware it came with a leather dash and upper doors, however, this will always be an option on my cars moving forward after seeing how stunning it is. The Blue Bay Lagoon is such an incredible [...]

Congratulations! Beautiful car and an amazing chance occurrence. When you know you know. It just grabs you!

A similar thing happened with my current G83. Picking up my wife's car and I saw it (deal was falling through apart on their Merc) and left with it the next day. One of the 1st BMWs I did not order.

It’s strange the price tag can be hefty but the color combo is stunning and I love how everything comes together. It’s a tough decision when considering reordering a car with all the options you want but at least you’ve got a great offer from the BMW dealers for your current car and I totally get where you’re coming from! It’s tough to resist getting an individual color especially when they look so amazing 🤩. I am glad I stumbled upon this beautiful color.

That car is gorgeous. But $8,900 for the MPE is a straight clown show especially since you've already paid for the carbon diffuser which you no longer get.

Yoikes.

oh well, dream car for sure and if that was the price....so be it. Enjoy!

Unless you really like the way it looks then I would say no. I think the weight savings is about 16lbs or so? In itself not worth the price tag but helps ease the blow a bit

Never heard of this color before but it looks awesome! Definitely can see hints of LSB and Atlantis, so a fair comparison for sure! Enjoy tons of miles OP!

I did keep the X3M, debated trading it in but figured would be better to put less miles on the M3. I've put 70k on the X3M in 2 years with 0 issues at all, such a great platform in itself. Now, I just need to get my LSB M3 back from the shop and have a real photoshoot with them side by side.

I just wanna know how people afford these cars. Don’t get me wrong it is gorgeous and my dream and goal is to have an m3 or higher but how does one afford this kind of car? I mean it’s the price of a small home or condo!

Theres a million answers to this. Some people work, some people are retired. Some people are on their second retirement. Some people own businesses, some are CEOs. I know people on this forum, that are in their mid 20s, that work for Apple, Google, NASA, and Cisco.

Agreed on this one. As much as Im in the minority with loving the MP Exhaust, I would have gotten the CCBs, as they are twice as much to retrofit after the fact, and the exhaust just went down to in the $6,000 range from sponsors on this forum.
