Monthly Insurance Rate

Anyone care to share their monthly insurance rate? I'm coming from a 535i that's currently costing me $145.50/month. Just asked my agent today for a quote for my new M3 and his response damn near made me fall out of my chair...$275/month. I know the 2 cars are vastly different but did not expect nearly a 2x increase.

I have State Farm and also Montgomery County...but in Maryland and got the $275/month quote. Your quote is pretty amazing compared to mine .

USAA was trying to charge me $411/month for my M4 but got a better monthly payment with Erie at $230/month.

$180 a month for full coverage on M4, GTI and liability on an old truck. I’m older with no accidents or tickets. It’s though Hartford.

$180 something for my M3 in St. Mary's County with USAA. Seems about right as my 2018 M2 was $140 and my wifes Tacoma is $130. We pay more in rural MD than we did in Portland, OR, which makes no sense.

USAA did me dirty when I transferred from FL to MD back in 2011. I'm just north of you in Calvert and I'm paying something close to 200 a month or more. I have 3 cars (2022 Sorento, 2013 accord, and the M3) and my insurance is like 1700 for 6 months. I was paying 800 when I had all 3 but had a civic type r vs the M3. I'm 37 and my wife is 40. No accidents and we're using progressive.

Yeah I'm seriously considering shopping around. I have a clean driving history, moderate coverage, and live in an area with no risk for car theft. There's no way I should be paying more than $160-175. I like USAA, but I like saving money more.

I just recently got a "failure to obey highway sign" minor infraction which resulted in 3 points. Since getting the m3 comp xdrive, I had to get new insurance and the lowest i could find out of four companies was $165 a month, or $1k for 6 months. I thought that was really high since I only paid $80/month for m550ix. But I guess $165 isnt bad since I had points.

Reading this thread is throwing me for a loop. Just added my G80 to my policy and removed my F80 and its now like $300/mo on GEICO. I'm going to dig into my policy and figure out WTF is going on. My F80 was $200, but even seeing these rates, mine is still too high.

I don't have an infractions either. Clearly I need to audit my stuff

Insurance is based on risk. It may not necessarily be 'you' causing the increase, but more so where you live, crime rates in the area, and the like.

Just got quoted $340/mo for G82 with Geico, no infractions or accidents but 21 so higher rates. Wonder if they are just more expensive after reading through the thread.
