Here it is

H.B. 632

Exhaust systems; excessive noise. Makes certain secondary offenses related to loud exhaust systems that are not in good working order primary offenses and exempts local ordinances related to such exhaust systems from the prohibition on law-enforcement officers stopping a vehicle for a violation of a local ordinance unless it is a jailable offense.

I have not been pulled over, but to be fair, I've only had my car since the end of Sept 2021 and she's been somewhat of a garage queen. I still need to get my windows tinted, but I think I'm going to go with 35% so I don't give JohnnyLaw another reason to pull me over.

If you don't have a front MD plate, I know that parking on the street in DC will definitely result in a ticket and sometimes a tow! Ask me how I know.
Yes, I have had no problems in MD but did get ticketed in school for no from license plate while parked at a meter

haven't had a front license plate on my car since like 2000, never a problem in MD, or when I travel out of state (and I travel A LOT).

just throw it in your trunk, and if you get pulled over, just tell them you recently got a new bumper and haven't put it on "yet". unless you're an azz, you'll just get a warning.

Lately, I've seen many teslas without a front license plate, and it would be a worse nightmare if police started to dig in with those without front license plates.

I've rarely seen cars without front license plates in the past, but with daily drives like Tesla taking on "New Fashion, "I can see police would soon take measures on this issue.

kekeke guess we think alike. I have my plates on the back seat just in case I get pulled over, politely explaining why it was not on

Yet I have not seen a single Dodge Charger idiot who drives like they are the king of the road with the loudest, obnoxiously cheap exhaust annoyance on the PG county 495 getting pulled over right bypassing police cruiser.
Kinda wanting to pull my G82 right next to them to make fool out of them one of these days.

Came here to say this exact thing! 15+ yrs no front plate. Never pulled over for it. But just in case I ever am, I keep it in the trunk and I'll say "oh, I never had a front plate before, thought it was a spare officer" lololol

I'm wondering about this, too. Seems like a crime against humanity to put a license plate in front of that gorgeous grill.

No intention of running one. The front end looks horrible with it. If I'm forced to, I'll run a custom euro style tag that matches my legal plate number. Looks marginally better.

I’ve been without a front license plate in my X3 for a bit over a year now. No issues.

I like the idea, but it's not legal and can attract more enforcement attention than not having one at all.

So far (three months), no issues driving around without a front plate in MD.

uh, just go without. it's Maryland. most police don't care. if anything, you'll get a warning. and at worst, it's like a $75 fine. totally worth the risk.

My plan is to go without it for sure. I only did the euro plate on the Golf R because I made the mistake of having my front bumper drilled. Not repeating that with the G80.

I live in Northern VA and drive all over MD VERY often, and never have on my front plate. I have the Sto n Sho only for when i'm parked in DC.

Driving without one for a few weeks now. I really don't want to put one on because I think it really downgrades the car's appearance. I ordered a sto 'n' sho, today. Hopefully, I don't run into too many issues. It's such a dumb rule.

6 Months and have not had an issue. This includes getting a speeding ticket. I also see plenty of other cars without front plates.
