I love walking up to my G82 and seeing and hearing a flurry of things take place before my drive….but does anyone actually what each noise/sound is for?

Obviously some are self explanatory, ie beeps, mirrors unfolding, and start up/welcome M on screen with sound greeting.

Also when shutting/getting out of car, it seems my seat does something as I hear the sound, but not sure I know what as I don’t feel it move?

Would love y’all’s input.

If you have the comfort seats, a headrest may be moving when you shut off the car. My passenger side head rest was doing that for a while for some reason.

The headrest returns to fully retracted when you shut the car off, if you have it adjusted up as part of your seating position.

As for the others, I believe you're hearing the low pressure fuel pump at the tank pressurizing the system when you open the door. The HPFP is engine driven and obviously is not running at that time. My wife's Cayenne does the same thing.

Yup, it’s the headrest that moves to fully retracted. Just because it looks better when parked. Sheesh, can’t get enough of such features.

The last thing you hear is the fuel pump prime the line.

Now that someone has asked this question, I definitely notice this sound varies depending how long it's been since you last ran the car. If it's been run in the last few hours, it won't do this.
